Degenerate as well as nondegenerate three-level two-photon laser (TPL) models are derived. In the limit of equal cavity losses for both fields, it is shown that the nondegenerate model reduces to the degenerate one. We also demonstrate the isomorphism existing between our degenerate TPL model and that of a dressed-state TPL. All these models contain ac-

Dynamics of laser intracavity absorption
Physical Review A, 1985The dynamical behavior of a multimode dye laser with an intracavity absorber has been investigated theoretically as well as experimentally. This behavior is described by a system of rate equations which has to include the influence of saturation in the case of large absorption coefficients.

Laser Dynamics with Competing Instabilities
Physical Review Letters, 1987Successive transitions from Hopf bifurcation to Shilnikov chaos and eventually to regular spiking are observed in a laser with feedback on increase of a control parameter. Each one of these regimes is due to the dominant attraction of one at a time among three coexisting unstable fixed points.

Low-frequency dynamics of lasers
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 1996An approach to nonlinear dynamics of multimode lasers is developed. It is based on the concept of two systems of eigenoscillations: optical modes and relaxation oscillations. The importance of a correct (not arbitrary) choice of a model is underlined. Characteristic features of two different rate equation models are formulated and compared. A method of

Laser dynamics of asynchronous mode-locked fiber lasers
2013 6th IEEE/International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology (ICAIT), 2013New laser dynamics of asynchronous mode-locked fiber lasers will be reviewed in details, with the emphases on the interesting repetition frequency pulling effect and the all-normal dispersion operation state of asynchronous mode-locking.

CO2 laser dynamics with feedback.
Physical review. A, Atomic, molecular, and optical physics, 1995The validity of the four-level model is controlled in an experiment with a CO2 laser with electronic feedback. A global application of center manifold theory allows one to reduce the number of varieties from six to four. Qualitative differences are found with the case of loss modulations.

Laser-Induced Magnetization Dynamics
2007During the past few years, a wealth of new data on laser-induced ultra-fast magnetization dynamics in ferromagnetic metals has become available. Many of the recent approaches employed time-resolved magneto-optical strategies. In principle, these experiments have provided detailed insight into the fundamental physics involved, but it has become clear ...

I Dynamical Instabilities and Pulsations in Lasers
1988Publisher Summary This chapter discuses the dynamical instabilities and pulsations in lasers. The laser instabilities are of interest in the research efforts. The characteristics of laser pulsations are in accord with the predictions of the early maser models. The chapter discuses the laser phenomena.

Nonlinear Dynamics of the Laser
1995Today, the laser, with its ability to generate coherent light, has become an indispensable tool in optics and not only in optics. Lasers come in a variety of types, hardly to be counted. Coherent light can be generated from the far infrared to the near ultraviolet. It is hard to imagine optical diagnostics or communication techniques without the laser.

The physical mechanisms responsible for the annealing of ion‐implanted semiconductors have been identified and characterized for a wide range of materials and annealing conditions. Our approach emphasizes the use of in‐situ dynamical measurements of the optical properties in addition to post annealing measurements using Rutherford backscattering and ...
