Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Simulation and Experimental Demonstration of the Importance of IR-Drops During Laser Fault-Injection

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceLaser fault injections induce transient faults into ICs by locally generating transient currents that temporarily flip the outputs of the illuminated gates.

Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Composites: Process, Characterisation, Modelling, and Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.

A Practical Fault Attack on ARX-Like Ciphers with a Case Study on ChaCha20 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents the first practical fault attack on the ChaCha family of addition-rotation-XOR (ARX)-based stream ciphers. ChaCha has recently been deployed for speeding up and strengthening HTTPS connections for Google Chrome on Android devices.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

On the Complexity Reduction of Laser Fault Injection Campaigns Using OBIC Measurements [PDF]

open access: yes2015 Workshop on Fault Diagnosis and Tolerance in Cryptography (FDTC), 2015
Laser Fault Injection (LFI) is one of the most powerful methods of inducing a fault as it allows targeting only specific areas down to single transistors. The downside compared to non-invasive methods like introducing clock glitches is the largely increased search space.

Achieving High ON State Current through Ferroelectric Polarization‐Dependent Interfacial Resistance Switching in Undoped Orthorhombic HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric tunnel junction devices based on epitaxial undoped ferroelectric HfO2 films demonstrate stable switching endurance of over 106 switching cycles, low write voltages of ±3 V, 16 measured resistance states, and neuromorphic capability.

Vulnerability Analysis of security ICs against Laser Fault Injection

open access: yes, 2023
Lasers offer an unparalleled level of precision when injecting faults into FPGAs and other integrated circuits due to their ability to precisely target specific areas of a chip with minimal effects on everything else.
