Correlated Metal LaNiO3 as a p‐Type Transparent Conductor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
p‐type transparent conducting oxides are needed to enable superstrate solar cell geometries with n‐type absorbers. The p‐type correlated metal LaNiO3 combines high optical transmission with low electrical resistivity and is compatible with a range of scalable deposition processes.

A Novel Modified Petroresin Particle (MPRP) With Enhanced Oil–Water Selectivity for Cold Production in Heavy Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

Graphene Quantum Dot‐Induced Microstrain for Framework Stabilization of High‐Entropy Prussian Blue Analog in High‐Current Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The intrinsic distortion‐rich lattice of HEPBA with GQD‐enabled microstrain engineering establishes a mechanistic route toward high‐performance alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction. HEPBA inherently feature heterogeneous local coordination environments arising from multimetal incorporation, while properly introducing GQD during coprecipitation ...

Dynamic Fabry-Pérot cavity stabilization technique for atom-cavity experiments

open access: yesEPJ Techniques and Instrumentation
We present a stabilization technique developed to lock and dynamically tune the resonant frequency of a moderate finesse Fabry-Pérot (FP) cavity used in precision atom-cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) experiments. Most experimental setups with active

Stacking Fault Complexions in AgSbTe2 Thermoelectrics With Enhanced Electrical Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Atomic‐scale characterization resolves stacking fault complexion in AgSbTe2, showing Te and Sb segregation along with lattice dilation. Their enhanced effects on phonon scattering are modeled analytically. Although most defects also impede electron transport, local four‐point‐probe measurements reveal higher electrical conductivity at stacking fault ...

Sunlight Noise Mitigation in FMCW LiDAR Using FADOF

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
This paper examines the potential of utilizing a Faraday anomalous dispersion optical filter (FADOF) to enhance noise reduction in a FMCW LiDAR (Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave Laser Detection And Ranging) system.
