Investigating Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) Formation in Silicon and Their Impact on Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) [PDF]
Laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) have gained significant attention due to their ability to modify the surface morphology of materials at the micro-nanoscale and show great promise for surface functionalization applications. In this study,

Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) on Heavily Boron-Doped Diamond for Electrode Applications. [PDF]
Diamond is known as a promising electrode material in the fields of cell stimulation, energy storage (e.g., supercapacitors), (bio)sensing, catalysis, etc. However, engineering its surface and electrochemical properties often requires costly and complex procedures with addition of foreign material (e.g., carbon nanotube or polymer) scaffolds or ...

Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS)
Laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) are a universal phenomenon and can be generated on almost any material by irradiation with linearly polarized radiation. This chapter reviews the current state in the field of LIPSS, which are formed in a “self-ordered” way and are often accompanying materials processing applications.

Applications of laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS)
Laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS, ripples) are a universal phenomenon that can be observed on almost any material after the irradiation by linearly polarized laser beams, particularly when using ultrashort laser pulses with durations in the picosecond to femtosecond range.

Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) on Polymers Processed with Picosecond Laser Pulses [PDF]
Based on a literature review, it was concluded that Laser-induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) on polymers are produced when applying laser sources operating either in the ultraviolet wavelength and nanosecond pulse duration, or radiation of wavelengths ranging from 265nm to 1045nm and pulse durations in the femtosecond regime.

Laser-induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) – A Scientific Evergreen
The current state in the field of laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS, ripples) is reviewed. Their formation mechanisms are analyzed in ultrafast experiments (time-resolved diffraction and polarization controlled double-pulse experiments) and technological applications are demonstrated.

Mold‐Based Application of Laser‐Induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) on Biomaterials for Nanoscale Patterning [PDF]
Laser‐induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) are highly regular, but at the same time contain a certain level of disorder. The application of LIPSS is a promising method to functionalize biomaterials. However, the absorption of laser energy of most polymer biomaterials is insufficient for the direct application of LIPSS.

Mechanism of Tailoring Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures on 4H-SiC Crystal Using Ultrashort-Pulse Laser [PDF]
In this study, we examine the characteristics of laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSSs) fabricated on N-doped 4H-SiC (N-SiC) and high-purity 4H-SiC (HP-SiC) crystals using femtosecond–picosecond lasers. The effects of various laser parameters
