A Laser-Interference Microscopy for Sub-micron Scaling.

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 1994
Two split laser beams were introduced from the bottom side of the stage of an optical microscope, and combined at the sample position on the stage. The straight stripes which were produced by the interference of the two beams were observed in the focal plane of the objective lens.

Computational interference microscopy enabled by deep learning

open access: yesAPL Photonics, 2021
Quantitative phase imaging (QPI) has been widely applied in characterizing cells and tissues. Spatial light interference microscopy (SLIM) is a highly sensitive QPI method due to its partially coherent illumination and common path interferometry geometry.

Optoelectronic performance of indium tin oxide thin films structured by sub-picosecond direct laser interference patterning

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
A route to increase the efficiency of thin film solar cells is improving the light-trapping capacity by texturing the top Transparent Conductive Oxide (TCO) so that the sunlight reaching the solar absorber scatters into multiple directions. In this study,

Investigation towards Laser Cleaning of Corrosion Products from Lead Objects

open access: yesHeritage, 2023
In this work lasers with micro-, nano-, pico- and femtosecond pulse durations were used to clean atmospheric corrosion products from the fragments of a 19th-century lead outdoor sculpture. The state of the surface was studied by optical microscopy, Raman

A dialogue with the cell: diagnostic real-time technology based on laser interferometry

open access: yesAlʹmanah Kliničeskoj Mediciny, 2018
The paper presents a review of current techniques of the interference microscopy of living functioning cells that allow for assessment of the real-time changes of subcellular microstructures with 2D and 3D reconstructions of the images and multifactorial

New Bone Formation and Microstructure Assessed by Combination of Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy and Differential Interference Contrast Microscopy [PDF]

open access: yesCalcified Tissue International, 2013
Bone is a mineralized connective tissue that is continuously and microstructurally remodeled. Altered bone formation and microstructure arise in pathological bone conditions such as osteoporosis, osteonecrosis, fracture repair, and Paget disease of bone.
