High-speed Fabrication of Micro-channels using Line-based Laser Induced Plasma Micromachining (L-LIPMM)

open access: yes, 2013
Micro-texturing of surfaces has various applications that often involve texturing over large (macro-scale) areas with high precision and resolution. This demands scalability and speed of texturing while retaining feature sizes on the order of a few ?m.

Single shot, temporally and spatially resolved measurements of fast electron dynamics using a chirped optical probe

open access: yes, 2014
A new approach to rear surface optical probing is presented that permits multiple, time-resolved 2D measurements to be made during a single, ultra-intense ( > 1018 W cm−2) laser-plasma interaction.

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Stimulated Electron-Acoustic-Wave Scattering in a Laser Plasma

open access: yes, 2002
"Intense laser-plasma interaction can be a source of various electronic instabilities. Recently, stimulated backscattering from a trapped electron-acoustic wave (SEAS) (D. S. Mntgomery et al., Phys. Rev. Lett.

Functional Blood‐Brain Barrier Crossing by Biomimetic M13 Phage Vectors for Targeted Neuronal Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the M13 bacteriophage as a biomimetic nanovector capable of crossing in vitro models of the blood–brain barrier. By exploiting peculiar transcellular pathways, M13 avoids lysosomal degradation and preserves its structural integrity and functionality.

Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Parametric investigation and RSM optimization of DBD plasma methods (direct & indirect) for H2S conversion in the air

open access: yesHeliyon
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is known as a harmful pollutant for the environment and human health, and its emission control is a high priority. Non-thermal plasma is an effective technology in this field.
