InGaAs/GaAs metamorphic buffer for laser power converter applications
This paper investigated the optimization of InGaAs/GaAs metamorphic buffer and its application to LPCs (laser power converters). Firstly, InGaAs (18%) metamorphic buffer with step (S), step + overshoot (SO), step + reverse (SR), and step + reverse + overshoot (SRO) structures were investigated by X-ray, AFM and TEM, respectively.

Narrow line width frequency comb source based on an injection-locked III–V-on-silicon mode-locked laser [PDF]
In this paper, we report the optical injection locking of an L-band (similar to 1580 nm) 4.7 GHz III-V-on-silicon mode-locked laser with a narrow line width continuous wave (CW) source. This technique allows us to reduce the MHz optical line width of the

Thermophysical Properties of the Desulphurization Slags With Various CaS and CaO/Al2O3 Ratio
This article investigates how CaS content and the CaO/Al2O3 ratio influence the thermophysical properties of desulphurization slags. Using experimental measurements and thermodynamic simulations, this study reveals complex effects on viscosity, surface tension, and density, providing new insight into slag structure and phase behavior under ...

This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...
