Unraveling the Heterogeneity of Cargo Distribution in the Exogenous Association of Proteins With Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We characterized the distribution of cargo proteins associated with extracellular vesicles using various exogenous loading methods. In all cases, single‐particle analysis revealed that the distribution of protein content per EV is heterogeneous, following an exponential decay function.

Simultaneous measurement of the microscopic dynamics and the mesoscopic displacement field in soft systems by speckle imaging

open access: yes, 2013
The constituents of soft matter systems such as colloidal suspensions, emulsions, polymers, and biological tissues undergo microscopic random motion, due to thermal energy.

Adaptive Speckle Imaging Interferometry: a new technique for the analysis of microstructure dynamics, drying processes and coating formation

open access: yes, 2007
We describe an extension of multi-speckle diffusing wave spectroscopy adapted to follow the non-stationary microscopic dynamics in drying films and coatings in a very reactive way and with a high dynamic range.

Evaluation of surface roughness of a machined metal surface based on laser speckle pattern

open access: yesJurnal Engineering, 2018
The surface roughness of a machined metal surface is crucial to its appearance and performance. There are hardly any in-situ methods for surface roughness measurement of moving surfaces. A study of the digital speckle patterns generated by rough surfaces

Hydrocolloid‐Based Multiwavelength Stretchable QD‐OLED Patch for Simultaneous Neonatal Jaundice and Dermatitis Treatment with Biosignal Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Comparison of therapeutic and diagnostic applications of a surface‐emitting light source with multiwavelength emission characteristics. Abstract Conventional light‐emitting‐diode‐based light sources suffer from rigidity, localized heating, and poor adaptability to skin deformation, limiting their use in skin‐attached medical devices.

Metamaterial-based polarization control plate for producing incoherent laser irradiation

open access: yes, 2012
We present a metamaterial-based random polarization control plate to produce incoherent laser irradiation by exploiting the ability of metamaterial in local polarization manipulation of beam upon transmission via tuning its local geometry.

Laser speckle flowgraphy can also be used to show dynamic changes in the blood flow of the skin of the foot after surgical revascularization

open access: yesVascular, 2018
Objectives Laser speckle flowgraphy is a new method that enables the rapid evaluation of foot blood flow without contact with the skin. We used laser speckle flowgraphy to evaluate foot blood flow in peripheral arterial disease patients before and after ...
