Accelerated Laser Speckle Strain Gauge

Optical Engineering, 1985
An improved version of the laser speckle strain gauge is presented in which speckle displacement caused by deformation of a laser illuminated object is detected in real time using new photodetectors in place of linear image sensors and microcomputer in the conventional version.

Single shot laser speckle based 3D acquisition system for medical applications

Optics and lasers in engineering, 2018
The state of the art techniques used by medical practitioners to extract the three-dimensional (3D) geometry of different body parts requires a series of images/frames such as laser line profiling or structured light scanning.

Polarization microstatistics of laser speckle

Physical Review A, 1992
The microstatistics of laser speckle has been investigated under varying incident polarization angle θ. The intensity at each point in a speckle pattern varies sinusoidally with θ and can be described completely by three parameters: amplitude, baseline, and relative phase.

Laser Speckle Displacement Cardiography

Journal of Optics, 1986
Laser speckle is an interference phenomenon which is the result of the interference of the scattered radiations due to the roughness of the surface. By the superposition of the speckle patterns during systolic phase of the cardiac cycle, by time average speckle interfocometry and point-wise filtering methods, the absolute displacements at various ...

Laser Speckle Micro-angiography

Digital Holography & 3-D Imaging Meeting, 2015
We introduce a laser speckle micro-angiography (LSMA) to reconstruct the 2D visualization of the blood flows. In vivo Biological experiments on the ears of rabbits and mice verify the outstanding performance of our LSMA in imaging microcirculatory network.Provided an potential to develop a label-free optical micro-angiography in retinal imaging.

Three-dimensional dimension of laser speckle

Applied Optics, 1992
It is well known that the three-dimensional dimension of laser speckle is a critical parameter in laser holographic interferometry, laser speckle photography, and holospeckle interferometry. In this paper a statistical analysis for computing the three-dimensional dimension of laser speckle is presented.

Fluctuations of temporal contrast in laser speckle imaging of blood flow.

Optics Letters, 2018
Laser speckle contrast imaging can be used to estimate changes in blood flow velocity in either the spatial or temporal domain. Temporal speckle contrast analysis provides higher spatial resolution than spatial speckle contrast does.
