Cancer Science, EarlyView.This study investigates the role of STING in photodynamic therapy (PDT) using talaporfin sodium. STING knockout reduced ROS generation and therapeutic efficacy, while combining a STING agonist with PDT enhanced antitumor effects. These findings suggest that STING regulates ROS homeostasis and can potentiate PDT outcomes.
