Abstract Objective To evaluate the effects of customized corneal collagen cross‐linking (CXL) on higher‐order aberrations (HOAs) in keratoconus (KC): vertical coma (VC), horizontal coma (HC), spherical aberration (SA), trefoil (TF) and astigmatism, compared with the same effects in healthy eyes undergoing CXL for low‐grade myopia.

Abstract The research focuses on jewellery finds uncovered in the region of today's Czech Republic dated to the Great Migration Period. The metals and garnet inlays detected were examined with μ‐EDXRF, whereas, for glass samples, LA‐ICP‐MS was used. The paper presented is supplemented with data concerning the technological processing of the jewellery ...

The Provenance of Silver in the Viking‐Age Hoard From Bedale, North Yorkshire
ABSTRACT The acquisition of silver was a key motive propelling the Viking expansion out of Scandinavia; identifying the sources of Viking silver during the early part of the Viking Age can provide critical insights into the relative significance of western European and eastern, Islamic wealth in the Viking expansion.

This study investigates the role of STING in photodynamic therapy (PDT) using talaporfin sodium. STING knockout reduced ROS generation and therapeutic efficacy, while combining a STING agonist with PDT enhanced antitumor effects. These findings suggest that STING regulates ROS homeostasis and can potentiate PDT outcomes.

Three Spodumene Reference Materials for Oxygen Isotope Measurement by Ion Microprobe
Key Points Three spodumene reference materials were developed for SIMS oxygen isotope measurement. All three materials are homogeneous in oxygen isotopes. Crystal orientation has no effect on instrumental mass fractionation. This study reports on the development of three spodumene reference materials referred to as Curtin University (CU) Tri‐1, Kun‐A‐1

The Effect of Crystal Orientation on In Situ Rb‐Sr Mica Geochronology
Key Points No significant effect of mica grain orientation on Rb‐Sr date. Rb‐Sr laser signal stability is generally better perpendicular to mica c‐axis. No significant matrix effect noted between different mica group members. Mica crystals have a highly asymmetric structure, arranged in sheets of two tetrahedral layers bonded to a single octahedral ...
