A new multivariable benchmark for Last Glacial Maximum climate simulations [PDF]
We present a new global reconstruction of seasonal climates at the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM, 21 000 years BP) made using 3-D variational data assimilation with pollen-based site reconstructions of six climate variables and the ...

The Last Glacial Maximum and deglaciation in central Patagonia, 44°S–49°S
This paper reviews published geochronological data on glacier fluctuations and environmental changes in central Patagonia (44° S - 49° S) from the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) through to the Holocene.

The Last Glacial Maximum Balearic Abyssal Plain megabed revisited [PDF]
Abstract Megabeds are thick sedimentary layers extending over thousands of square kilometres in deep-sea basins and are thought to result from large slope failures triggered by major external events. Such deposits have been found in at least three areas of the Mediterranean Sea.

Migration of Afro-Asian Monsoon Fringe Since Last Glacial Maximum
Geological records indicated the termination of the Holocene Thermal Maximum (dramatic drying) occurred progressively later at lower latitudes in both North Africa and East Asia, along with the coherent weakening of local summer monsoon.

We present a geomorphic map of the glacial landforms associated with the Golfo Corcovado ice lobe in northwestern Patagonia. Built upon prior studies, our map elaborates on the central and southern sectors of Isla Grande de Chiloé and neighboring islands.

A new global surface temperature reconstruction for the Last Glacial Maximum [PDF]
We present a new reconstruction of surface air temperature and sea surface temperature for the Last Glacial Maximum. The method blends model fields and sparse proxy-based point estimates through a data assimilation approach.

Simulations of two Last Glacial Maximum ocean states [PDF]
Two stable thermohaline circulation states were produced in simulations of the last glacial maximum (LGM) ocean, both forced by the same prescribed atmosphere. Direct application of this atmosphere led to an equilibrium state with strong North Atlantic Deep Water formation (northern sinking state (NSS)).

Last Glacial Maximum and deglacial abyssal seawater oxygen isotopic ratios [PDF]
An earlier analysis of pore-water salinity (chlorinity) in two deep-sea cores, using terminal constraint methods of control theory, concluded that although a salinity amplification in the abyss was possible during the LGM, it was not required by the data.

Ocean Cooling Pattern at the Last Glacial Maximum
Ocean temperature and ocean heat content change are analyzed based on four PMIP3 model results at the Last Glacial Maximum relative to the prehistorical run.

Modelling Mediterranean ocean biogeochemistry of the Last Glacial Maximum [PDF]
We present results of simulations performed with a physical–biogeochemical ocean model of the Mediterranean Sea for the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) and analyse the differences in physical and biochemical states between the historical period and the LGM ...
