Metal Pipe: A Broadly Applicable Stellar Abundance Pipeline Using Isochronal Parameters
Characterizing exoplanet host stars at the population level requires a method of homogeneously characterizing stellar properties across all spectral types.

Long-term chromospheric activity in southern M dwarfs: Gl 229 A and Gl 752 A
Several late-type stars present activity cycles similar to that of the Sun. However, these cycles have been mostly studied in F to K stars. Due to their small intrinsic brightness, M dwarfs are not usually the targets of long-term observational studies ...

Between public service and market: Portraying the bifront university in a platformized world
Abstract This paper contributes to the international debate on the changes affecting recruitment and orientation processes toward higher education. Based on qualitative research involving 19 Italian public universities, the study analyses the transformations in communication, recruitment and orientation activities within platformization and increasing ...

Chemical Fingerprints of M Dwarfs: High-resolution Spectroscopy on 31 M Dwarfs with SPIRou
We extend the methodology introduced by F. Jahandar et al. to determine the effective temperature and chemical abundances of 31 slowly rotating solar neighborhood M dwarfs (M1–M5) using high-resolution spectra from CFHT/SPIRou.

Form flows function: Learner‐centered game Re‐design in a STEM classroom
Abstract Re‐designing games facilitates interest‐driven learning and immerses learners in systems thinking. However, there are limited studies exploring how the form and function of tabletop games influence learners' design decisions and learning experiences. To address this gap, we conducted a mixed‐methods study in a STEM classroom in western Canada.

Extending the Search for Counterrotating Gas and Stars in Galaxies: A Study of Late-Type Dwarfs
In a previous study on gas-stellar counterrotation for a large sample of E/S0 and spiral galaxies (Kannappan & Fabricant 2001), two dwarf irregular galaxies were included, of which one was tentatively identified as a counterrotator. Here we extend the search for counterrotation to include 10 more irregular/spiral dwarf galaxies.

ABSTRACT The ecology of forests, their losses, and terrestrial wood decomposition dynamics have been intensively studied and reviewed. In the aquatic realm, reviews have concentrated on large wood (LW) in rivers and the transition from freshwater to marine environments in the Pacific Northwest of North America. However, a comprehensive global synthesis

We present a study of very low mass stars and brown dwarfs in the rich star-forming core of the ρ Ophiuchi cloud complex. The selection of the sample relies on detecting the inherent water absorption characteristic in young substellar objects.

Spectroscopy of Brown Dwarf Candidates in the rho Ophiuchi Molecular Core
We present an analysis of low resolution infrared spectra for 20 brown dwarf candidates in the core of the $\rho$ Ophiuchi molecular cloud. Fifteen of the sources display absorption-line spectra characteristic of late-type stars.

Extent, characteristics and policy applications of Key Biodiversity Areas
ABSTRACT A global standard for the identification of Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) was published 10 years ago to provide a unified set of criteria for identifying ‘sites of significance for the global persistence of biodiversity’. We review the initiative's origins, the KBA identification process, characteristics of the current network, threats, policy
