Evolution of the Color-Magnitude Relation in Galaxy Clusters at z ~1 from the ACS Intermediate Redshift Cluster Survey [PDF]
We apply detailed observations of the Color-Magnitude Relation (CMR) with the ACS/HST to study galaxy evolution in eight clusters at z~1. The early-type red sequence is well defined and elliptical and lenticular galaxies lie on similar CMRs.

CO in late-type galaxies within the central region of Abell 1367 [PDF]
We present (CO)-C-12(J = 1-0) and (CO)-C-12(J = 2-1) spectra for 19 bright, late-type galaxies (spirals) in the central region of the galaxy cluster Abell 1367 (z = 0.02) from observations made with the IRAM 30-m telescope.

Two Candidates for Dual AGN in Dwarf-dwarf Galaxy Mergers
Dual active galactic nuclei (DAGN) are important for understanding galaxy-merger-triggered fueling of black holes and the hierarchical growth of structures.

On the dust abundance gradients in late-type galaxies - II. Analytical models as evidence for massive interstellar dust growth in SINGS galaxies [PDF]
We use simple analytical models of the buildup of the dust component and compare these with radial dust distributions derived from observations of SINGS galaxies.

Halo-model Analysis of the Clustering of Photometrically Selected Galaxies from SDSS
We measure the angular 2-point correlation functions of galaxies in a volume limited, photometrically selected galaxy sample from the fifth data release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.

Unresolved and diffuse components of X-ray emission and X-ray-to-K-band luminosity ratios in nearby early-type and late-type galaxies [PDF]
We explore the nature of unresolved X-ray emission in a broad sample of galaxies of all morphological types based on archival Chandra data. After removing bright compact sources, we study LX/LK luminosity ratios of unresolved emission, and compare them ...

The Evolution of the Cold Gas Fraction in Nearby Clusters’ Ram-pressure-stripped Galaxies
Cluster galaxies are affected by the surrounding environment, which influences, in particular, their gas, stellar content, and morphology. In particular, the ram pressure exerted by the intracluster medium promotes the formation of multiphase tails of ...

The Differences of Star Formation History Between Merging Galaxies and Field Galaxies in the EDR of the SDSS [PDF]
Based on the catalog of merging galaxies in the Early Data Release (EDR) of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), the differences of star formation history between merging galaxies and field galaxies are studied statistically by means of three ...

Dark halo response and the stellar initial mass function in early-type and late-type galaxies [PDF]
We investigate the origin of the relations between stellar mass and optical circular velocity for early-type galaxies (ETGs) and late-type galaxies (LTGs) – the Faber–Jackson (FJ) and Tully–Fisher (TF) relations.

Candidate AGNs in Late-Type Galaxies
We have assembled a sample of 64 late-type spiral galaxies (T types 6.0-9.0, corresponding to Hubble types Scd-Sm) with archival Chandra data. At a signal-to-noise (S/N) threshold of 3, we find 12 objects with X-ray point-source detections in close proximity with the optical or near-infrared position of the nucleus (median offset = 1.6"), suggestive ...
