Late Riphean Borisikha ophiolite (Yenisei Ridge): U-Pb zircon age and tectonic setting

Russian Geology and Geophysics, 2008
Abstract The Borisikha ophiolite, composed of serpentinites and amphibolites, is an extension of the Isakovka ophiolite belt in the near-Yenisei part of the Yenisei Ridge. It is a slightly disturbed ∼3.5 km thick fragment of the ophiolite association; its crustal part is composed of metamorphosed wehrlite, troctolite, and gabbro ...

The Late Riphean–Paleozoic history of the Uda–Vitim island arc system in the Transbaikalian sector of the Paleoasian ocean

Russian Geology and Geophysics, 2010
Abstract New structural, petrological, chemical, isotope, and paleomagnetic data have provided clues to the Late Riphean–Paleozoic history of the Uda–Vitim island arc system (UVIAS) in the Transbaikalian sector of the Paleoasian ocean, as part of the Transbaikalian zone of Paleozoids.

Intensity of Chemical Weathering in Late Precambrian: New Data on the Riphean Stratotype (Southern Ural)

Стратиграфия, 2023
The values of Ni/Co, La/Sc, and Th/Cr (indicators of the composition of rock complexes eroded in paleowatersheds) and the values of CIA, Rb/Al, K/Al and K/Rb (indicators of the intensity of chemical weathering on land), typical for fine-grained clastic rocks of the Riphean of the Southern Urals were compared to the data given in the publication “Long ...

Late Riphean Sedimentation in the Central Russian Aulacogen

Lithology and Mineral Resources, 2003
Result of the analysis of combined structural, facies, mineralogical, and micropaleontological data suggest that the formation of the Central Russian Aulacogen was related to the evolution of a major strike-slip system in the Late Riphean on the Russian Plate.

New insights into the nature of the Late Riphean Eosolenides

Precambrian Research, 2009
Abstract Studies of a morphologically diverse population of Eosolenides, organic-walled macrofossils from the Upper Mesoproterozoic (1015–1025 Ma) Lakhanda Group of southeastern Siberia, suggest that these elongate fossils may be remains of soft-bodied organisms having tube-grade organization.

Late Riphean age of the crystalline basement of the carbonate cover of the Dzabkhan microcontinent

Stratigraphy and Geological Correlation, 2015
The Dzabkhan microcontinent was earlier considered as a fragment of an ancient craton in the structure of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt. Deposits of the Tsagaan Oloom Formation were included in the shelf zone, under the assumption that they were related to the regional unconformity between the Early-Late Precambrian crystal formations.

Comparative characteristics of Middle Paleozoic and Late Riphean plume magmatism of the Siberian platform

Doklady Earth Sciences, 2010
Based on isotopic and geochemical data for Late Riphean dikes and sills and for Devonian dolerite dikes and basalt covers within the Sette-Daban rift in the western part of the Siberian platform, we proved conceptions about the participation of various deep sources in their formation.

Late Riphean age of the Karsakpai massif of alkaline syenites of South Ulutau (Central Kazakhstan)

Doklady Earth Sciences, 2012
The Ulutau massif is located in the western part of Central Kazakhstan and is one of largest Precambrian sialic massif of this region. Geologically, the southern part of the massif is composed of volcanogenic and volcanogenic–sedimentary rocks of acid and rare basic composition metamorphosed under the green schist metamorphism facies.
