Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.

A three-tier microsegmentation framework for enterprise networks under Zero Trust Architecture

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal
Traditional perimeter-based security models are increasingly inadequate for modern enterprise environments, often leading to “security silos” where inconsistent policies across infrastructure layers facilitate lateral movement by attackers.

Triangular Index Ratio as an Alternative Method to the Alpha Angle for Defining the Presence of Cam Morphology: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Cam morphology, which is a significant risk factor for hip osteoarthritis, is commonly quantified by the alpha angle (AA). This study aims to explore the potential of the triangular index ratio (TIR) to quantify cam morphology on anteroposterior radiographs by assessing the association between TIR‐defined cam morphology and the development of

Creditworthiness as a signal of trustworthiness [PDF]

open access: yes
Creditworthiness and trustworthiness are almost synonyms since the act of conferring a loan has the indirect effect of signaling the trustworthiness of the borrower. We test the creditworthiness-trustworthiness nexus in an investment game experiment on a

Analysis of the asymmetrically expressed Ablim1 locus reveals existence of a lateral plate Nodal-independent left sided signal and an early, left-right independent role for nodal flow.

open access: yes, 2010
BACKGROUND: Vertebrates show clear asymmetry in left-right (L-R) patterning of their organs and associated vasculature. During mammalian development a cilia driven leftwards flow of liquid leads to the left-sided expression of Nodal, which in turn ...

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Relational Contracts and the Economic Well-Being of Nations [PDF]

open access: yes
Informal long-term relationships and mutual confidence play a crucial role in modern economies in at least two dimensions. First, the performance of firms is strongly affected by their capacity to solve organizational questions effectively and this ...

Remote Postoperative Epidural Hematoma after Subdural Hygroma Drainage

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, 2010
Objective. Subdural hygroma is reported to occur in 5%–20% of all patients with closed head trauma, the treatment is controversial and in symptomatic cases surgical drainage is need. We report on a new case with remote acute epidural hematoma (AEH) after
