From Rigid to Soft Robotic Approaches for Neuroendoscopy
Robotic assistance has had minimal impact on deep intraventricular surgeries, where small‐scale, precision, and reduced invasiveness can contribute to improved patient outcomes. Emerging technologies in rigid, soft, and hybrid robotics are reviewed to identify the most promising mechanisms for deep brain navigation in addition to an attempt to identify

Mutations in SPG11, encoding spatacsin, are a major cause of spastic paraplegia with thin corpus callosum. [PDF]
Autosomal recessive hereditary spastic paraplegia (ARHSP) with thin corpus callosum (TCC) is a common and clinically distinct form of familial spastic paraplegia that is linked to the SPG11 locus on chromosome 15 in most affected families. We analyzed

No vaccine-no protection: mumps meningoencephalitis and hydrocephalus in an unvaccinated adult. [PDF]
Mumps virus is a rare cause of hydrocephalus. A non-immunised, healthy 23 year-old male presented to the Emergency Department, 12 days after diagnosis of mumps parotitis. He reported a gradual improvement until the onset of headache and vomiting 48 hours

An autologous whole‐tumor‐cell vaccine (rWTC‐MBTA) is evaluated in murine CNS lymphoma. Subcutaneous vaccination activates dendritic cells, broadens T‐cell priming, and drives lymphocyte trafficking to brain tumors, producing durable tumor control. Longitudinal bioluminescence and adoptive‐transfer assays verify CNS engagement. Combination with anti‐PD‐

Subependymoma of the Lateral Ventricle
A 56-year-old male presented with mild gait disturbance and short-term memory disturbance. Computed tomographic scans revealed an isodense mass with a large cyst in the left lateral ventricle, extending to the right. The tumor was removed totally via the left frontal transcortical approach.
