GABAergic neurons regulate lateral ventricular development via transcription factor Pax5 [PDF]
Postmortem studies have revealed a downregulation of the transcription factor Pax5 in GABAergic neurons in bipolar disorder, a neurodevelopmental disorder, raising the question whether Pax5 in GABAergic neurons has a role in normal brain development.

Potentiating Cerebral Perfusion Normalizes Glymphatic Dynamics in Systemic Inflammation
LPS‐induced systemic inflammation increases glymphatic influx but delays cervical lymphatic drainage, accompanied by AQP4 depolarization and impaired glymphatic clearance. Enhancing cerebral blood flow via the inotropic agent levosimendan effectively restored AQP4 polarization, improving glymphatic flux and amyloid‐β clearance.

Mutations in SPG11, encoding spatacsin, are a major cause of spastic paraplegia with thin corpus callosum. [PDF]
Autosomal recessive hereditary spastic paraplegia (ARHSP) with thin corpus callosum (TCC) is a common and clinically distinct form of familial spastic paraplegia that is linked to the SPG11 locus on chromosome 15 in most affected families. We analyzed

NEAT1 Promotes Epileptogenesis in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex
The primary neurological manifestations of tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) are intractable epilepsy and intellectual disability. NEAT1 is differentially expressed in TSC‐related epilepsy and influences neuronal excitability by regulating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway.

Histamine H4 receptor (H4R) antagonist VUF6002 mimics low‐dose X‐ray irradiation in aged Alzheimer's disease (AD) mice, enhancing microglial clearance of amyloid‐beta/hyperphosphorylated tau aggregates and restoring cognition. Microglial H4R deletion activates cAMP/TGF‐β1/Smad3 pathway, enhancing phagocytosis, while TGF‐β receptor 1 deletion abolishes ...

Hemangioblastoma of the lateral ventricle
Introduction: Hemangioblastomas are capillary-rich benigntumors mainly found in the infratentorial compartment. When at the supratentorial space, they are rarely located at the lateral ventricle. We report on a case of a 25 years-old female patient treated at our institution.
