The insertion of dental implants in atrophy maxilla is a complicated issue because no bone support due to expansionof maxillary sinus and atrophy of maxillary ridge alveolar. Surgery by sinus lifting with autogenous bonetransplantation has been proven to be an acceptable treatment to get bone support.

The modified lateral window technique for retrieving root stumps from the maxillary sinus: Case report [PDF]
Rationale: Tooth extraction is a common surgical procedure in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Extraction of the upper molar teeth may result in root fracture for anatomical reasons, leading to the migration of fractured roots into the maxillary sinus.

Lateral Window Maxillary Sinus Elevation With Simultaneous Implant Placement: A Step-by-Step Surgical Technique [PDF]
Maxillary sinus pneumatization following tooth loss can result in reduced vertical bone height in the posterior maxilla, limiting the available bone for dental implant placement. The lateral window sinus elevation technique allows access to the sinus cavity and elevation of the Schneiderian membrane to facilitate bone augmentation.

Dental Implant Rehabilitation of Posterior Maxillary Edentulism via Sinus Augmentation Using the Lateral Window Technique: A Retrospective Analysis of 289 Implants Followed Up for 15 Years [PDF]
The aim of this study was to analyze the marginal bone loss and survival of implants in the augmented sinus area via the lateral window approach. The effect of sinus membrane perforation as well as splinting of the upper structure was analyzed.

IS MEMBRANE USAGE REALY NECESSARY FOR SINUS LIFTING OPERATION IN LATERAL WINDOW TECHNIQUE
Background Although the placement of a membrane after sinus floor augmentation promotes faster initialization of bone formation, there is evidence that these procedures may be successful and predictable without membrane barriers. The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of defects that might occur due to soft tissue invasion in the ...

CLINICAL AND RADIOGRAPHIC EVALUATION OF GRAFTLESS SINUS LIFTING THROUGH LATERAL WINDOW APPROACH WITH SIMULTANEOUS IMPLANT PLACEMENT [PDF]
Introduction: Maxillary sinus lifting for dental implant placement is a well-known and versatile technique; new techniques have been presented based on the physiology of bone repair inside the maxillary sinus, now blood clot can be considered autogenous ...
