Latex Agglutination Test in Uveitis

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1960
In 1922, Meyer 1 reported that the serums of certain patients with rheumatoid arthritis agglutinated sensitized sheep erythrocytes. In 1931, Cecil, Nicholls, and Stainsby 2 observed the agglutination of β-hemolytic streptococci by the serum of certain patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.

Avidity of antibody and agglutinability of antibody-sensitized latex in latex agglutination test

Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology, 1993
This paper describes the avidity of IgG antibody used for preparation of latex sensitized with IgG antibody (IgG-sensitized latex) and the agglutinability of IgG-sensitized latex in slide reversed passive latex agglutination (RPLA). Using immunodiffusion techniques, it was found that anti-canine C-reactive protein (CRP) sera from four rabbits immunized

Latex agglutination test for canine parvovirus

Australian Veterinary Journal, 1996
SUMMARYCanine parvovirus (CPV) was detected in faeces from dogs with diarrhoea by a specific slide agglutination test using latex particles coated with anti‐CPV monoclonal antibody (LA‐anti‐CPV). The agglutination of LA‐anti‐CPV with CPV on a glass slide was evident macroscopically within 2 min.

LATEX AGGLUTINATION TEST FOR INVASIVE AMŒBIASIS

The Lancet, 1970
Abstract A simple and rapid latex agglutination test as an aid to the diagnosis of invasive amœbiasis has been evaluated in five groups of 100 individuals from an endemic area. Results were positive in 98 patients with amœbic liver abscess, in 96 with amœbic dysentery, in 15 African general medical patients, and 5 African blood-donors, but not in any ...

Latex-Agglutination Test in Shigellosis and Salmonellosis

The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1965
Summary Similar antibody titers were detected by hemagglutination and latex-agglutination tests of sera and mucus from patients with shigellosis and from a patient infected with Salmonella enteritidis. These titers were higher than those detected by the agglutination test.

CAMPYLOBACTER | Detection by Latex Agglutination Techniques

1999
The traditional methods for the isolation and confirmation of foodborne pathogens usually consist of (pre)enrichment followed by isolation on selective media, subculturing of suspect colonies on nonselective media, and, finally, confirmation of isolates. The traditional confirmations might take too long for practical purposes.

A latex agglutination test for lectin binding

Analytical Biochemistry, 1983
Blood group A + H substance purified from hog gastric mucin was fixed to polystyrene particles by physical absorption to produce a lectin-agglutinable latex. Agglutination of this latex by soybean agglutinin, concanavalin A, and wheat germ agglutinin is specifically inhibited by the respective monosaccharide haptens and is not affected by known ...

Rapid Latex Agglutination Test for Rubella Antibody

Journal of Clinical Microbiology, 1983
The latex agglutination card test (Rubascan) for the detection of rubella antibody was compared with the standard hemagglutination inhibition and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay tests. There was complete agreement with sera which had hemagglutination inhibition titers of ≥16.
