Modification of Frodokem Using Gray and Error-Correcting Codes

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Lattice-based cryptography is one of the most promising schemes for post-quantum cryptography. Among the many lattice-based cryptosystems, FrodoKEM is a well-known key-encapsulation mechanism (KEM) based on (plain) learning with errors (LWE) problems and

Markov Chain Monte Carlo Algorithms for Lattice Gaussian Sampling

open access: yes, 2014
Sampling from a lattice Gaussian distribution is emerging as an important problem in various areas such as coding and cryptography. The default sampling algorithm --- Klein's algorithm yields a distribution close to the lattice Gaussian only if the ...

Static Recrystallization Simulation of Interstitial Free‐Steel by Coupling Multi‐Phase‐Field and Crystal Plasticity Model Considering Dislocation Density Distribution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study models static recrystallization in interstitial free‐steel using coupled crystal plasticity and phase‐field simulations. The method directly links heterogeneous dislocation density to nucleation site prediction, eliminating reliance on empirical assumptions.

Compact and Low-Latency FPGA-Based Number Theoretic Transform Architecture for CRYSTALS Kyber Postquantum Cryptography Scheme

open access: yesInformation
In the modern era of the Internet of Things (IoT), especially with the rapid development of quantum computers, the implementation of postquantum cryptography algorithms in numerous terminals allows them to defend against potential future quantum attack ...

Physical-Layer Cryptography Through Massive MIMO

open access: yes, 2017
We propose the new technique of physical-layer cryptography based on using a massive MIMO channel as a key between the sender and desired receiver, which need not be secret.

Tensor-based trapdoors for CVP and their application to public key cryptography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We propose two trapdoors for the Closest-Vector-Problem in lattices (CVP) related to the lattice tensor product.

Tribology of ZrC Coatings and Spherical Tips Acquired with Extraordinarily Stiff, Metal Atomic Force Microscopy Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this research, ZrC coatings are evaluated against various counterprobes at the microscale using novel super‐stiff atomic force microscopy cantilevers. The chemical composition of the coating is shown to be an important factor influencing coating hardness and Young's modulus, while surface roughness, counterprobe hardness, and surface energy are the ...

An Improved BKW Algorithm for LWE with Applications to Cryptography and Lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we study the Learning With Errors problem and its binary variant, where secrets and errors are binary or taken in a small interval. We introduce a new variant of the Blum, Kalai and Wasserman algorithm, relying on a quantization step that ...

Assessing the Microstructure of SnBiZn Alloys during Semisolid Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The development of Sn‐based alloys for semisolid processing is crucial for Industry 4.0. This study investigates Sn40Bi and Sn40Bi2Zn alloys, revealing that Zn refines Sn‐rich globules by pinning dendrite boundaries. Bi saturation occurs at 60 min, while Zn enhances globule microhardness at 90 min through solid solution strengthening.

A Noise Study of the PSW Signature Family: Patching DRS with Uniform Distribution

open access: yesInformation, 2020
At PKC 2008, Plantard et al. published a theoretical framework for a lattice-based signature scheme, namely Plantard−Susilo−Win (PSW). Recently, after ten years, a new signature scheme dubbed the Diagonal Reduction Signature (DRS) scheme was ...
