A lattice Boltzmann model of flow blunting
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 2004We review our recent multi-component lattice Boltzmann equation method for the simulation of a large number of mutually immiscible liquid species and then apply it to the simulation of dense volume fraction suspensions of deformable particles in internal geometry.

Theory of the lattice Boltzmann method: Lattice Boltzmann models for nonideal gases
Physical Review E, 2000In this paper a procedure for systematic a priori derivation of the lattice Boltzmann models for nonideal gases from the Enskog equation (the modified Boltzmann equation for dense gases) is presented. This treatment provides a unified theory of lattice Boltzmann models for nonideal gases.

Lattice Boltzmann model of immiscible fluids
Physical Review A, 1991We introduce a lattice Boltzmann model for simulating immiscible binary fluids in two dimensions. The model, based on the Boltzmann equation of lattice-gas hydrodynamics, incorporates features of a previously introduced discrete immiscible lattice-gas model.

Convergence of a lattice model of the boltzmann equation
Letters in Mathematical Physics, 1979It is shown that the solutions of a (spatially) discrete model of the Boltzmann equation converge in a weak sense as the lattice spacing approaches zero. The method follows a compactness argument of Arkeryd.

A LATTICE BOLTZMANN MODEL FOR A SOLID BODY
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2003The lattice Boltzmann wave equation is adapted to model the motion of displacements within a 2d solid. Momentum, energy are shown to obey conservation laws. Borders and contact conditions are easily dealt with. Three experiments serve as illustrations: crack propagation, fragmentation and a dynamic contact problem.

Lattice Boltzmann model for binary mixtures
Physical Review E, 2002An a priori derivation of the lattice Boltzmann equations for binary mixtures is provided by discretizing the Boltzmann equations that govern the evolution of binary mixtures. The present model leads to a set of two-fluid hydrodynamic equations for the mixture.

Lattice Boltzmann model for simulation of magnetohydrodynamics
Physical Review Letters, 1991A numerical method, based on a discrete Boltzmann equation, is presented for solving the equations of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). The algorithm provides advantages similar to the cellular automaton method in that it is local and easily adapted to parallel computing environments.

Lattice Boltzmann model for traffic flow
Physical Review E, 2008Mesoscopic models for traffic flows are usually difficult to be employed because of the appearance of integro-differential terms in the models. In this work, a lattice Boltzmann model for traffic flow is introduced on the basis of the existing kinetics models by using the Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook-type approximation interaction term in the Boltzmann ...
