Rough Approximation Operators on a Complete Orthomodular Lattice

open access: yesAxioms, 2021
This paper studies rough approximation via join and meet on a complete orthomodular lattice. Different from Boolean algebra, the distributive law of join over meet does not hold in orthomodular lattices. Some properties of rough approximation rely on the

Elinvar Materials: Recent Progress and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Elinvar materials, exhibiting temperature‐invariant elastic modulus, are critical for precision instruments and emerging technologies. This article reviews recent progress in the field, with a focus on the anomalous thermoelastic behavior observed in key material systems.

Investigation of Laser Ablation and Brush Pre‐Treatments for AlCu Cold Roll Bonding in Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Construction of general N-body lattice operators with arbitrary momenta

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We present a systematic method for constructing lattice QCD operators for systems of an arbitrary number of particles with arbitrary momentum, spin, and internal quantum numbers. Explicit constructions are provided for one-, two-, three-, and four-hadron

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Applications of the Perturbative Gradient Flow

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2022
Over the last decade the gradient flow formalism became an important tool for lattice simulations of Quantum Chromodynamics. It offers remarkable renormalization properties which pave the way for cross-fertilization between perturbative and lattice ...

Tribological Performance of 60NiTi Alloy Under Varying Contact Conditions and Elevated Temperatures in Linear Reciprocating Sliding

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐

EBSD Study of Creep‐Induced Lattice Misorientation in MgO‐Particle‐Reinforced Austenitic Steel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Geometric Lattice Structure of Covering-Based Rough Sets through Matroids

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
Covering-based rough set theory is a useful tool to deal with inexact, uncertain, or vague knowledge in information systems. Geometric lattice has been widely used in diverse fields, especially search algorithm design, which plays an important role in ...

Excited bottomonia in quark-gluon plasma from lattice QCD

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
We present the first lattice QCD study of up to 3S and 2P bottomonia at non-zero temperatures. Correlation functions of bottomonia were computed using novel bottomonium operators and a variational technique, within the lattice non-relativistic QCD ...
