Modular and lower-modular elements of lattices of semigroup varieties [PDF]
The paper contains three main results. First, we show that if a commutative semigroup variety is a modular element of the lattice Com of all commutative semigroup varieties then it is either the variety COM of all commutative semigroups or a nil-variety ...

This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

Complexity of hypersubstitutions and lattices of varieties
The authors develop a general theory of complexity of terms and apply it to define complexity functions for hypersubstitutions. They observe that each complexity function satisfying a certain monotonicity axiom gives rise to a hierarchy of submonoids of the monoid of all hypersubstitutions of a given type and hence to a hierarchy of complete ...

A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

Computation of weight lattices of G-varieties [PDF]
Let G be a connected reductive group. To any irreducible G-variety one assigns the lattice generated by all weights of B-semiinvariant rational functions on X, where B$ is a Borel subgroup of G. This lattice is called the weight lattice of X. We establish algorithms for computing weight lattices for homogeneous spaces and affine homogeneous vector ...

Finite quotients of Z[C_n]-lattices and Tamagawa numbers of semistable abelian varieties [PDF]
We investigate the behaviour of Tamagawa numbers of semistable principally polarised abelian varieties in extensions of local fields. In view of the Raynaud parametrisation, this translates into a purely algebraic problem concerning the number of $H ...

Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Advances in the breeding of oats Comparative trials with historical varieties in 1977—87
From 1977 to 1987, variety trials were conducted at two test sites in order to determine the agronomic value of old oat varieties as compared to that of the varieties presently grown.

ANALISIS KERAGAMAN PADA DATA HILANG DALAM RANCANGAN KISI SEIMBANG [PDF]
In a research, it is required a design experiment that obtained a conclusion desired. Balanced Lattices design is an experiment which the number of groups is k, the number of treatment is equal to square of the number of groups (k2) and the number of ...

Biomimetic Iridescent Skin: Robust Prototissues Spontaneously Assembled from Photonic Protocells
Uniform nanoparticles are induced to form arrays (photonic crystals) in the cores of biopolymer capsules, endowing these ‘protocells’ with structural color. These protocells are then assembled into large self‐standing objects, i.e., prototissues, with robust mechanical properties as well as iridescent optical properties.
