Logging Response Mechanism and Content Evaluation of Laumontite-Bearing Glutenite Reservoir: A Case Study of Lower Urho Formation of Permian of the Junggar Basin

open access: yesGeofluids
The Urho Formation in the Lower Permian System at the Junggar Basin in China commonly develops zeolite cements. The presence of zeolite minerals in various states of occurrence and uneven distribution in glutenite reservoirs makes it indeterminate to ...

Portite discredited = natrolite and new data on "schneiderite" (= laumontite)

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mineralogy, 1994
The sample of portite studied by D'Achiardi (1873), a fragment of the holotype of Meneghini & Bechi (1852), was rediscovered in some of the oldest collections of the Natural History Museum of Pisa University. X-ray and optical data demonstrate that portite is identical to natrolite, thus allowing us to discredit the mineral name portite.

A neutron powder diffraction study of fully deuterated laumontite

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mineralogy, 1993
The crystal structure of fully deuterated laumontite, Ca 4 Al 8 Si 16 O 48 .18D 2 O, has been refined from neutron powder diffraction data using the Rietveld method, λ = 1.468(1) A, T = 295 K, C2/m, Z = 1, M r = 1935.94, a = 14.863(2), b = 13.169(2), c = 7.537(1) A, β = 110.18(1)°, V = 1384.7(6) A 3 , 6.04° ≤ 2θ ≤ 125.00° in 1488 steps, R p = 3.57 ...

Controls of Tuffaceous Components and Dissolution Heterogeneity on Reservoir Quality in Wenchang Formation Sandstones, Pearl River Mouth Basin, South China Sea

open access: yesGeofluids
The Huizhou–Lufeng Depression in the Pearl River Mouth Basin is a significant hydrocarbon accumulation zone, where tuffaceous materials exert critical control on the quality of Paleogene Wenchang Formation sandstone reservoirs.

Secondary Minerals from the Drilling Cores of DVDP 3 (Ross Island) and 6 (Lake Vida) [PDF]

open access: yesAntarctic Record, 1977
The secondary minerals were collected from the drilling cores of DVDP 3 (Ross Island) and DVDP 6 (Lake Vida) and were investigated by the powder X-ray diffraction method. In No.

A Comprehensive Study on Enhancing Microbicidal Activity of Pure and Ion-Exchanged Zeolites Through Structural and Chemical Determinants. [PDF]

open access: yesIET Nanobiotechnol
Zeolites are crystalline aluminosilicate materials known for their unique structures and small pores, making them highly suitable for various applications, including antimicrobial uses. Their porous surfaces enable them to act as carriers for metal ions, enhancing their antibacterial potential.

Study on Deterioration of Concrete due to Transformation of Laumontite [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Laumontite is a harmful mineral for concrete. Standard specifications for concrete structures described that laumontite and its dehydration material leonhardite would need care because there was volume change between laumontite and leonhardite due to ...
