Laurentia-Siberia connection revisited
Geology, 1994A new fit for Siberia and Laurentia in the Late Proterozoic places Siberia north of the Franklin orogenic front in the Canadian Arctic such that the Akitkan fold belt in Siberia aligns with the Thelon magmatic zone in Canada. Zircon ages from both belts range from 2.0 to 1.9 Ga and appear to record additions of juvenile crust.
