ABSTRACT Facies characterization in carbonate reservoirs remains challenging due to their pronounced textural and structural heterogeneity. Variations in grain packing, cementation, and diagenetic overprints produce contrasting acoustic responses in borehole image logs, often limiting the reproducibility of facies interpretation.

ABSTRACT In people, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with high‐resolution, high T2‐weighted (T2w) contrast‐balanced steady‐state free precession (b‐SSFP) pulse sequences and 3D fast spoiled gradient‐echo (FSPGR) pulse sequences can improve visualization of cranial nerves (CNs) and associated osseous foramina. This prospective, observational study aimed

Basaltic lava flows are one of the most visible geologic processes on Earth. Gaining a thorough knowledge of basaltic lava flow behavior is imperative to understanding Earth’s formation processes and for the protection of humanity. Studies of basalt flow

Abstract The Cenozoic convergence between the Indian and Asian plates has driven large‐scale mantle convection that interacts with both plates. Understanding this convergence benefits from clear imaging of the lithosphere‐asthenosphere boundary (LAB).

Subterranean environments contribute to three‐quarters of classified ecosystem services
ABSTRACT Beneath the Earth's surface lies a network of interconnected caves, voids, and systems of fissures forming in rocks of sedimentary, igneous, or metamorphic origin. Although largely inaccessible to humans, this hidden realm supports and regulates services critical to ecological health and human well‐being.

Two Asian orchids, Arundina graminifolia and Spathoglottis plicata, are expanding into tropical regions worldwide, showing invasive behavior. In this study, we investigated the factors underlying their success. Both species—as all orchids—require fungal carbon to germinate, but S.

A new coastline formed during the 2021 eruption of La Palma quickly eroded, becoming crenellated and with pocket beaches, then retreated more gradually as resistant interiors of the lava were exposed. In contrast, a second thicker lava delta changed more gradually, highlighting the importance of lithology to coastal erosion.
