The Design of the Emission Layer for Electron Multipliers [PDF]

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2021
Abstract The electron multipliers gain is closely related to the secondary electron emission coefficient (SEE) of the emission layer materials. The SEE is closely related to the thickness of the emission layer. If the emission layer is thin, the low SEE causes the low gain of electron multipliers.

Electron-electron interactions in decoupled graphene layers [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2010
Multi-layer graphene on the carbon face of silicon carbide is an intriguing electronic system which typically consists of a stack of ten or more layers. Rotational stacking faults in this system dramatically reduce inter-layer coherence. In this article we report on the influence of inter-layer interactions, which remain strong even when coherence is ...

Semi‐supervised classification of fundus images combined with CNN and GCN

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the most serious complications of diabetes, which is a kind of fundus lesion with specific changes. Early diagnosis of DR can effectively reduce the visual damage caused by DR. Due to the variety and different morphology of DR lesions, automatic classification of fundus images in mass screening can ...

Creating Stretchable Electronics from Dual Layer Flex-PCB for Soft Robotic Cardiac Mapping Catheters

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
The authors present in this study the development of a novel method for creating stretchable electronics from dual-layer flex printed circuit boards (flex-PCBs) as a platform for soft robotic sensor arrays (SRSAs) for cardiac voltage mapping applications.

Chiral Josephson effect in double layers: the role of particle-hole duality [PDF]

open access: yesContrib. Plasma Phys 2023, e202300014, 2023
The Josephson effect of inter-layer s-wave pairing in a double layer of two chiral metals is considered. We employ the duality relation between electron-electron and electron-hole double layers to discuss the zero-energy eigenmodes at a domain wall and their coupling to the superfluid state.

Electron Reconnection in the Magnetopause Current Layer [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, 2018
AbstractThe electron dynamics within thin current sheets plays a key role both for the process of magnetic reconnection and other energy transfer mechanisms but, from an observational point of view, is not well understood. In this paper we report observations of a reconnecting current sheet with intermediate guide field BG=0.5Bin, where Bin is the ...
