2D Perovskite Capping Layer Enabling Stable Perovskite Photovoltaics

Solar RRL
Interfacial passivation plays a pivotal role in achieving efficient and stable perovskite solar cells. Meanwhile, the introduction of 2D perovskites has also been widely reported to be beneficial for enhancing the performance and stability of devices. Herein, DEAI is used as an ammonium salt, which is spin coated onto the surface of the perovskite film,

Perovskite layers make the grade

Science, 2018
Solar Cells Inverted planar perovskite solar cells offer opportunities for a simplified device structure compared with conventional mesoporous titanium oxide interlayers. However, their lower open-circuit voltages result in lower power conversion efficiencies.

Tuning the Luminescence of Layered Halide Perovskites

Chemical Reviews, 2019
Layered halide perovskites offer a versatile platform for manipulating light through synthetic design. Although most layered perovskites absorb strongly in the ultraviolet (UV) or near-UV region, their emission can range from the UV to the infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Ion-Exchangeable, Electronically Conducting Layered Perovskite Oxyfluorides

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2009
Cation-exchangeable d(0) layered perovskites are amenable to intercalation, exfoliation, and a variety of topochemical reactions, but they lack the interesting electronic and magnetic functionalities of mixed-valent perovskites. Conversely, electronically and magnetically interesting layered perovskites lack scope in terms of interlayer chemistry.

Multifunctional MgO Layer in Perovskite Solar Cells

ChemPhysChem, 2015
AbstractA multifunctional magnesium oxide (MgO) layer was successfully introduced into perovskite solar cells (PSCs) to enhance their performance. MgO was coated onto the surface of mesoporous TiO2 by the decomposition of magnesium acetate and, therefore, could block contact between the perovskite and TiO2. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and infrared

Exfoliation of layered rutile and perovskite tungstates

Chemical Communications, 2002
The layered trirutile phases HMWO6 (M = Nb, Ta) and the layered perovskite H2W2O7 (synthesized by acid leaching of Bi2W2O9) were exfoliated into nanoscale colloids by reaction with quaternary ammonium hydroxides.

Magnetic resonances in perovskite-type layer structures

Physica B+C, 1981
Abstract We have studied the q=0 magnetic excitations of the perovskite-type layer structures A2MnCl4 with A=Rb, CnH2n+1NH3 (n=1,2,3), and NH3(CH2)mNH3MnCl4 (m=2,4,5) in the antiferromagnetic and in the spin flop regime by means of magnetic resonance in the mm-wave range (30-130GHz) and microwave range (9.2GHz).

Physical characterization of layered perovskites–polystyrene composites

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1980
Mechanical and thermal properties of layered perovskites–polystyrene composites have been studied over a wide range of temperature and filler content. The layered perovskites show a solid–solid transition at a temperature which is dependent on the number of the carbon atoms in the hydrocarbon chains and on the nature of the metal atom.

White-Light Emission from Layered Halide Perovskites

Accounts of Chemical Research, 2018
With nearly 20% of global electricity consumed by lighting, more efficient illumination sources can enable massive energy savings. However, effectively creating the high-quality white light required for indoor illumination remains a challenge. To accurately represent color, the illumination source must provide photons with all the energies visible to ...

Molecular templating of layered halide perovskite nanowires

Science
Layered metal-halide perovskites, or two-dimensional perovskites, can be synthesized in solution, and their optical and electronic properties can be tuned by changing their composition. We report a molecular templating method that restricted crystal growth along all crystallographic directions except for [110] and promoted one-dimensional growth.
