Postnatal characterization of cells in the accessory olfactory bulb of wild type and reeler mice

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroanatomy, 2012
Olfaction is the most relevant chemosensory sense of the rodents. General odors are primarily detected by the main olfactory system while most pheromonal signals are received by the accessory olfactory system.

Scheduling in Heterogeneous Distributed Computing Systems Based on Internal Structure of Parallel Tasks Graphs with Meta-Heuristics

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The problem of scheduling parallel tasks graphs (PTGs) represented by directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) in heterogeneous distributed computing systems (HDCSs) is considered an nondeterministic polynomial time (NP) problem due to the diversity of ...

Layer‐by‐Layer Assembly: Recent Progress from Layered Assemblies to Layered Nanoarchitectonics

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, 2019
AbstractAs an emerging concept for the development of new materials with nanoscale features, nanoarchitectonics has received significant recent attention. Among the various approaches that have been developed in this area, the fixed‐direction construction of functional materials, such as layered fabrication, offers a helpful starting point to ...

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

Preliminary investigation on possibility of rooting of Manna oak (Quercus brantii Lindl.) by layering in Zagros forests [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات جنگل و صنوبر ایران, 2011
Introducing appropriate and applicable methods is an important step towards restoration of Zagros forests. In this study the possibility of rooting and propagation of sprouts of Manna oak was investigated by layering in soil.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Layering

open access: yes, 2011
Layering is a method of propagation that encourages adventitious roots to form on stems while they remain attached to the parent or “stock” plant. This ancient propagation method takes advantage of the natural propensity of plant stems to initiate roots ...

Layer-by-Layer Freezing of Nanoconfined Water [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
AbstractNanoconfined water plays a pivotal role in a vast number of fields ranging from biological and materials sciences to catalysis, nanofluidics and geochemistry. Here, we report the freezing and melting behavior of water (D2O) nanoconfined in architected silica-based matrices including Vycor glass and mesoporous silica SBA-15 and SBA-16 with pore ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
