A study of some structural attributes of Yew (Taxus baccata L.) in Gazoo forest, Mazandaran Province [PDF]
In this study, 50 hectare of mixed yew stand was structurally investigated across Gazoo forest, a study area between 1100-1300 m a.s.l located 50 km from Zirab town in Mazandaran province.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Observations of snowpack properties to evaluate ground-based microwave remote sensing
Active microwave radar has been shown to have great potential for estimating snow water equivalent (SWE) globally from space. To help evaluate optimal active microwave sensor configurations to observe SWE, we evaluated ground-based Frequency Modulated ...

Effect of the Metro Train on the Smoke Back-Layering Length under Different Tunnel Cross-Sections
Smoke back-layering length is an important aspect of tunnel fire research, and the influence of metro train blockage cannot be ignored. In previous studies, less attention has been paid to the phenomenon of back-layering caused by the same train blocked ...

Summary: Modes were introduced in logic programming to differentiate the input arguments of a predicate from its output arguments. This information can be used for verifying the most diverse properties of logic programs, notably absence of run-time errors and absence of deadlocks in presence of delay declarations.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The layering of polar firn - investigations of the climatic impact on polar firn structure using high resolution density measurements and 3D-X-ray-microfocus-computer-tomography [PDF]
The polar firn structure is investigated in terms of layering using high-resolution density measurements of 19 firn cores and X-ray-microfocus-computer-tomography image analysis of 6 surface firn cores. The impact of local climate conditions such as mean

Vegetative propagation of Campomanesia phaea by the air-layering and grafting techniques
: The objective of this work was to evaluate the air-layering and grafting techniques in the production of cambuci (Campomanesia phaea) plants. Two experiments were conducted in randomized complete blocks for air-layering, using adult cambuci plants, and

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
