Adaptive Virtual Inertia for AC Grids Connected to MT‐HVDC Grid by Considering DC Voltage Stability

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper presents an innovative virtual synchronous generator that safeguards the voltage at the VSG's DC terminal while providing adaptive virtual inertia in response to the frequency changes and their rate of change. In this approach, the DC voltage level is regarded as a pivotal element in the provision of virtual inertia.

Research on a new scheme of LCC‐HVDC line protection

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2017
High‐performance protection scheme of the transmission line is very important for the safe and reliable operation of line commutated converter‐based high‐voltage direct current (HVDC) system. The transmission line protection scheme applied in existing projects is lack of reliability, rapidity and incomplete in theory.
