Toward the Utilization of Char from the Hydrothermal Liquefaction of Polyethylene Plastic Waste: Studies of the Adsorption of Rhodamine B in an Aqueous Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 6, June 2026.
Hydrothermal liquefaction of waste polyethylene produces char that effectively removes rhodamine B from water. Nearly complete dye adsorption is achieved under optimum conditions, with adsorption following Langmuir isotherm and pseudo‐first‐order kinetics.

Online-laadunvalvontatekniikat LDPE-tuotannossa

open access: yes, 2010
Polymer quality control requires various testes in order to confirm the product's faultlessness. For LDPE extrusion coating and film products, the most significant tested properties are melt flow rate, in homogeneities and contaminants.

Addition of Instant Shear Heat Milled Pregelatinized Rice Flours on a Gluten‐Free Pizza

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
A new method of producing pregelatinized flours (AF) was developed, using a Shear Heat Milling Machine (SHMM). SHMM diminishes or even eliminates crystallinity, achieving pregelatinization. AF was incorporated into a GF pizza dough in 0%, 10%, and 20%, where it increases the viscosity and manageability of GF doughs.
