Self‐Powered Broadband High‐Responsivity Photodetectors: p‐(CuS)x(ZnSe)1−x/p‐Si Isotype Heterojunction

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study reports a self‐powered broadband photodetector based on compositionally tuned p‐(CuS)x(ZnSe)1−x/p‐Si isotype heterojunctions. Increasing the CuS ratio improved the film crystallinity and produced a denser, more homogeneous nanopillar morphology, enhancing light absorption.

Validating the pivotal role of the immune system in low‐dose radiation‐induced tumor inhibition in Lewis lung cancer‐bearing mice

open access: yesCancer Medicine, 2018
Although low‐dose radiation (LDR) possesses the two distinct functions of inducing hormesis and adaptive responses, which result in immune enhancement and tumor inhibition, its clinical applications have not yet been elucidated.

Integration of Refractive Microlenses on BP/MoS2 Photodiodes for Enhanced Infrared Photodetection

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the successful integration of black phosphorus/molybdenum disulfide infrared photodetectors with refractive microlenses to significantly enhance detection. The design achieves a 20‐fold photocurrent enhancement, enabling a room‐temperature detectivity of 1.83 × 109 cmHz1/2W−1, and demonstrates high‐resolution (1023 × 768) single‐

Comparison of modeled and observed cloud-free longwave downward radiation over the Alps

open access: yesMeteorologische Zeitschrift, 2005
Differences between computed and observed cloud-free longwave downward radiation (LDR) were examined both for Payerne and six further radiation sites of the Alpine Surface Radiation Budget (ASRB) network.

Angle‐dependent X‐ray absorption correction in small‐ and wide‐angle X‐ray scattering: accounting for constrained scattering volume, beam profiles and capillary wall attenuation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, EarlyView.
We present an improved numerical angle‐dependent absorption correction procedure for line‐collimated small‐ and wide‐angle X‐ray scattering measurements in thin‐walled quartz capillaries. The procedure accounts for the constrained illuminated volume, measured primary beam profiles and capillary‐wall absorption, enabling physically consistent data ...

Biological equivalence between LDR and PDR in cervical cancer: multifactor analysis using the linear-quadratic model

open access: yes, 2011
Purpose: The purpose of this work was the biological comparison between Low Dose Rate (LDR) and Pulsed DoseRate (PDR) in cervical cancer regarding the discontinuation of the afterloading system used for the LDR treatments atour Institution since December

Wavefront error sensing for LDR [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Wavefront sensing is a significant aspect of the LDR control problem and requires attention at an early stage of the control system definition and design.

Sex Steroids Measurement by Mass Spectrometry in Hypogonadal Men in a Real‐World Setting: Serum Estradiol (E2) and E2 to Total Testosterone Ratio Do Not Differ Between Patients With Klinefelter Syndrome and Non‐Klinefelter Syndrome Hypogonadism

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Traditionally, Klinefelter syndrome (KS) was considered a clinical condition associated with hyperestrogenism. Aim To compare circulating sex steroids, particularly estrogens, in a cohort of KS and non‐KS hypogonadal men. Materials and Methods A cohort of hypogonadal men, treated and untreated, was prospectively enrolled in a real ...

Research Progress on the Biological Effects of Low-Dose Radiation in China

open access: yesDose-Response, 2019
Human are exposed to ionizing radiation from natural and artificial sources, which consequently poses a possible risk to human health. However, accumulating evidence indicates that the biological effects of low-dose radiation (LDR) are different from ...

Bone Health and Aging in Klinefelter Syndrome

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Klinefelter syndrome (KS) is typically diagnosed in young adults, but advances in prenatal testing have led to its recognition at a much earlier age. Conversely, diagnosis in late adulthood remains uncommon, but still occurs. Independently from the age at diagnosis, KS individuals now receive more accurate and tailored care management than in ...
