Abstract Background Accurate dose verification in High‐Dose‐Rate (HDR) brachytherapy presents a significant challenge due to steep dose gradients and the absence of beam collimation. Conventional quality assurance (QA) methods typically rely on point detectors or film‐based techniques, which lack the capability to provide real‐time, full‐field ...

Preclinical feasibility of EPID‐based transit dosimetry for total body irradiation
Abstract Background Conventional extended‐distance total body irradiation (TBI) is commonly verified using point dosimeters, which provide limited spatial information and require additional handling during a prolonged treatment procedure. A portable charge‐coupled device (CCD)‐based electronic portal imaging device (EPID) positioned downstream of the ...

Abstract Background State regulatory inspections of radiation‐producing treatment equipment combine a review of quality assurance and regulatory records with direct verification of facility and safety systems. When these activities are performed entirely on‐site across multiple facilities, real‐time document retrieval can prolong visits and divert ...

AI‐assisted software development for brachytherapy seed inventory management
Abstract Purpose Medical physics departments frequently rely on in‐house software to address niche clinical needs, yet these tools are often built by physicists without formal software engineering training, resulting in legacy applications that are difficult to maintain, poorly documented, and vulnerable to obsolescence from operating system upgrades ...

Log file‐based treatment efficiency analysis of TrueBeam and Halcyon delivery systems
Abstract Background TrueBeam (TB) and Halcyon (HC) are state‐of‐the‐art linear accelerators (linacs) widely utilized for external beam radiotherapy. As clinical demand increases, expanding treatment capacity through new machine installations or extended operating hours remains costly and resource intensive.

Automatic Night Lamp Using LDR
This project focuses on designing a night lamp that automatically turns on in the absence of light and gets turned off in the presence of light using a light-dependent resistor (LDR). The LDR is a sensor whose resistance decreases with increasing light intensity, enabling it to detect ambient light levels.
