Controlled-release urea reduced nitrogen leaching and improved nitrogen use efficiency and yield of direct-seeded rice.

Journal of Environmental Management, 2018
The use of controlled-release urea (CRU) has become one of best management practices for increasing crop yield and improving nitrogen (N) use efficiency (NUE). However, the effects of CRU on direct-seeded rice are not well understood while direct-seeding

TH-LEACH: Threshold Value and Heterogeneous Nodes-Based Energy-Efficient LEACH Protocol

2018
Sensor nodes are used to measure ambient of environment. Sensor network can be defined as a collection of sensor nodes, which senses the environment and sends information to the base station. These types of networks are facing problems related to energy dissemination.

High-efficiency leaching process for selective leaching of lithium from spent lithium iron phosphate

Waste Management
With the arrival of the scrapping wave of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, a green and effective solution for recycling these waste batteries is urgently required. Reasonable recycling of spent LiFePO4 (SLFP) batteries is critical for resource recovery and environmental preservation.

Enhanced energy efficient LEACH (EEE-LEACH) algorithm using MIMO for wireless sensor network

2015 IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Computing Research (ICCIC), 2015
In WSN, number of sensor nodes is randomly deployed in the network. These nodes are small, low power nodes with different capabilities like sensing, computing and wireless communications. Since they have limited battery lifetime, there is a need to provide an efficient algorithm that provides higher network lifetime for the given amount of available ...

Armor-LEACH - Energy Efficient, Secure Wireless Networks Communication

2008 Proceedings of 17th International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks, 2008
The use of sensor networks is increasing day by day; which offer more research topics to be discuss and modified; one of these topics is the power consumption that has to be reduced as possible, where the resources are limited; another topic is the security level that should be offer by such kind of networks.

Effect of Irigation Efficiencies on Nitrogen Leaching Losses

Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 1985
The literature was reviewed to determine the effect increasing irrigation efficiencies have had on NO3-N leaching. The mass of NO3-N leached is directly related to the drainage volume. By increasing irrigation efficiencies, both the drainage volume and amount of NO3-N leaching are reduced.

An Energy Efficient Algrithm Based on LEACH Protocol

2012 International Conference on Computer Science and Electronics Engineering, 2012
In this paper, we analyse the effectiveness of LEACH protocol in extending the lifetime for energy-constrained wireless sensor networks. An improved protocol LEACH-R is proposed based on LEACH protocol. LEACH-R improves the selection of cluster-head and proposes to choose relaying node compare to LEACH. Residual energy of the nodes is conisdered during
