Experimental Study on Cyanidation Leaching of a Low-grade Gold Mine in Guangxi

open access: yesKuangchan zonghe liyong, 2023
Gold content of a low-grade gold ore in Guangxi is 1.29 g/t, the gangue minerals are mainly quartz, and the content of non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, zinc and other harmful elements arsenic is extremely low.

Leach Rate Characterization of Solid Radioactive Waste Forms [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
Leach rates for a number of proposed radioactive waste forms have been measured. A neutron activation analysis technique has been used exclusively for these measurements. Leach rates as low as 10-9g/cm2d were easily determined. Problems associated with surface area determination, sample preparation and data interpretation are discussed.

Natural and simulated aging of historical glasses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We thoroughly studied coloured glass tesserae of historical glass windows of the Santi Giovanni e Paolo Church in Venice by means of ESEM and XPS techniques in order to evaluate the weathering mechanisms of the glass surfaces.

Leaching of vanadium, potassium, and iron from spent catalyst of the manufacture of sulfuric acid

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2021
The sulfuric acid industry produces large volumes of spent catalyst containing vanadium. To develop an efficient method for vanadium recovery, hydrogen peroxide was used to oxidize sulfur in the spent catalyst, forming sulfuric acid, which, in turn ...

Impurity leaching rates of 1000 liter growth tanks [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
This memo reports on the analysis of some recent measurements of solution impurity levels in the three KDP and one DKDP Pilot Production 1000 liter growth tanks (Tanks B, C, D, & F). Solution samples were taken on a weekly basis during recent crystal growth runs in each tank and were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy (ICP-ES).

Rotating maize reduces the risk and rate of nitrate leaching

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2021
There is a strong link between nitrate (NO _3 -N) leaching from fertilized annual crops and the rate of nitrogen (N) fertilizer input. However, this leaching-fertilizer relationship is poorly understood and the degree to which soil type, weather, and ...

A sensitivity analysis of the prediction of the nitrogen fertilizer requirement of cauliflower crops using the HRI WELL_N computer model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
HRI WELL_N is an easy to use computer model, which has been used by farmers and growers since 1994 to predict crop nitrogen (N) requirements for a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops.

Investigation of the leaching behavior of Na and Si in simulated HLW borosilicate glass obtained from the waste of a 1000 MWe class PWR reactor: using the response surface method

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry
The immobilization of high-level nuclear waste (HLW) in glass waste matrices provides the key safety function of slowing down radionuclide emissions from an underground disposal site.

An Optimized Method for Determination of Ionic-phase Rare Earth Elements by ICP-MS Using Ammonium Sulfate Leaching

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2018
BACKGROUND The accurate determination of ionic phase rare earths in ion-adsorption rare earths is of great significance for the evaluation of rare earth ore bodies. Ionic phase rare earths are adsorbed on clay minerals in the form of hydroxyl or hydrated
