Park‐and‐multi‐loop with autonomous delivery robots in last‐mile logistics

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper deals with the park‐and‐multi‐loop routing problem, in the context of last‐mile logistics, in which a fleet of traditional vehicles equipped with several autonomous delivery robots leaves from a depot to service a set of customer requests.

SlGRF1 mediates gibberellin signaling to control cut‐budding in tomato

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
Upon wounding, cytokinin increases to initiate callus formation. Gibberellin enhances this, but later blocks bud formation by suppressing SlGRF1. Wounding‐induced protein SlGRF1 triggers buds via NAM1, EPF4, and ER2. Hormonal shifts control cut‐budding phases.

The ANT‐Mobilities Framework: Transectionality and a Post‐Materialist Historical Sociology

open access: yesSociology Lens, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The ANT‐Mobilities framework synthesizes Actor‐Network Theory, the mobilities paradigm, and historical sociology to analyze complex social transformations. This paper develops the framework through empirical engagement with post‐disaster rehabilitation networks following the 2005 Pakistan earthquake, demonstrating how crisis contexts generate ...

Genetic variability and social structure of colonies in Acromyrmex heyeri and A. striatus (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
The breeding structure of both colony and population of social insects can be examined by genetic analysis. Colonies of the leaf-cutting ants Acromyrmex heyeri and A. striatus (Myrmicinae, Attini) were thus analyzed for isoenzyme systems MDH, a-GPDH, and

Identification of a Susceptibility Gene for Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae in Vietnamese Elite Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Cultivar Bacthom 7

open access: yesPlant Breeding, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) is the causal agent of bacterial leaf blight (BLB) disease in rice, exerting a detrimental impact on the yield of various rice cultivars in Vietnam, notably the Bacthom 7 (BT7) variety. Xoo possesses transcription activator‐like effectors (TALEs) which modulate the expression of host genes by specifically ...

Discovery of defense- and neuropeptides in social ants by genome-mining.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Natural peptides of great number and diversity occur in all organisms, but analyzing their peptidome is often difficult. With natural product drug discovery in mind, we devised a genome-mining approach to identify defense- and neuropeptides in the ...

Comparative analysis of immune responses in ovipositing and non‐ovipositing females of European earwig Analyse comparative de la réponse immunitaire avant et après la ponte chez le forficule européen

open access: yesPhysiological Entomology, EarlyView.
Oviposition and care decrease the total haemocyte concentration. Oviposition and care affect haemocyte type proportions. Serratia marcescens challenge does not affect the immune cell parameters. Abstract Reproduction and immunity are essential biological processes that compete for resources and energy.

AI Alignment Versus AI Ethical Treatment: 10 Challenges

open access: yesAnalytic Philosophy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A morally acceptable course of AI development should avoid two dangers: creating unaligned AI systems that pose a threat to humanity and mistreating AI systems that merit moral consideration in their own right. This paper argues these two dangers interact and that if we create AI systems that merit moral consideration, simultaneously avoiding ...
