Identification of Leaf Blast and Brown Spot Diseases on Rice Leaf with YOLO Algorithm

2021 IEEE 7th International Conference on Control Science and Systems Engineering (ICCSSE), 2021
Rice Leaf Blast Disease and Brown Spot Disease are among the most significant diseases affecting rice cultivation. Monitoring and maintaining rice plants from many diseases are very important to regulate their production. In this study, the key objective was to develop an application that identifies whether a rice leaf has leaf blast or brown spot ...

Molecular profiling of blast resistance genes and evaluation of leaf and neck blast disease reaction in rice

Journal of Genetics, 2020
In the present investigation, phenotypic evaluation of blast disease reaction was conducted at Ponnampet and Mandya districts of Karnataka, India, which indicated that the rice varieties such as IR64, Jaya, KMP153, IR30864, Mandya Sona-1, Mandya Sona-2, KCP-1, Dodda Byra, and Malgudi Sanna were susceptible to both leaf and neck blasts.

Wheat resistance to leaf blast mediated by silicon

Australasian Plant Pathology, 2010
Blast, caused by Pyricularia grisea, is one of the most important diseases of wheat. The effects of silicon (Si) on this wheat disease were studied. Plants of wheat cultivars Alianca and BH-1146 were grown in plastic pots containing Si-deficient soil amended with either calcium silicate (+Si) or calcium carbonate (−Si). The content of Si in leaf tissue

Studies on the inheritance of leaf blast resistance in rice

Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences, 1972
Studies on the inheritance of leaf blast resistance in seven differential varieties of rice tested against two Indian isolates of the international races IA-11 add ID-1 ofPyricularia oryzae Cav. under standardized experimental conditions revealed the presence of three dominant genes, one each in Zenith.

Effect of temperature on Pi54-mediated leaf blast resistance in rice

World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2019
Assessment of temperature effect on plant resistance against diseases has become essential under climate change scenario as temperature rise is anticipated to modify host resistance. To determine temperature influence on resistance gene, a pair of near-isogenic rice lines differing for the Pi54 resistance gene was assessed against leaf blast.
