Stabilization of Strongly Reduced Fe(I) Single Atom Species Coordinated in a 2D Self‐Assembled Metal–Organic Network

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A graphene‐supported 2D metal–organic network stabilizes highly reactive Fe(I)‐N4 single sites through Co‐induced charge redistribution. Combined experiments and theory reveal Fe(I) formation, oxygen‐driven oxidation, and O2 activation mechanisms, offering a strategy to access low‐valent iron centers relevant to catalytic and biological processes ...

Character association for fruit yield and yield traits in Decalepis hamiltonii Wight & Arn

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2016
This experiment was undertaken to study the correlation and path analysis in six accessions of Decalepishamiltonii. Correlation study revealed that petiole length, pedicel length and fruit diameter had significant positive correlation with yield per ...

High‐Performance, Air‐Stable and Eco‐Friendly Terpene‐Processed Organic Solar Cells via Solvent‐Composition‐Controlled Film Formation Kinetics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solvent‐composition‐controlled film formation enables high‐performance (efficiency = 18.66%) and air‐stable terpene‐processed organic solar cells. An optimized eucalyptol/tetralin ratio of 50:50 (v/v) balances molecular solvation and aggregation kinetics, producing favorable nanoscale phase separation and vertical composition gradients.

Dynamic Observation of Lacy Pattern Formation in a Bone Tissue Model Using Liquid Phase Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we establish a low‐dose liquid‐phase electron microscopy workflow for real‐time observation of biological processes in hydrated conditions. Beam damage is reduced by imaging only 20% of the pixels and reconstructing the complete image using an inpainting algorithm.

Allometric growth of Xanthium (Compositae) leaves

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2014
When Xanthium lamina width is plotted versus leaf length during the entire period of growth, a straight line is obtained representing an allometric relationship with a regression correlation coefficient of 0.9973 a lamina width to length ratio of 0.502 ±

Nipping analysis of a two-leaf spring strengthened by an additional full-length leaf

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics
Nipping analysis of a rectangular two-leaf spring strengthened by an additional full-length leaf is presented. Closed form expressions are derived for the initial gaps between the leaves which make the maximum stresses in all the leaves within the clamped cross-section of the loaded spring equal to each other. The derived expressions are general in the

Statistical evaluation of data on leaf growth and phyllochron as derived from leaf length measurements

open access: yesBiologia plantarum, 1991
Methods for testing equality of horizontal distances of subsequent parallel or common lines are suggested in this paper. Possibilities of using these methods are given on data concerning spring barley leaf growth.

Endosomal Escape of siRNA Polyplexes: A Molecular Dynamics Perspective on Underlying Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular dynamics simulations reveal distinct endosomal escape mechanisms of siRNA nanoparticles, ranging from electrostatic membrane attachment to hydrophobic membrane fusion. Hydrophobic residues and anionic endosomal lipids emerge as key determinants of membrane disruption, linking molecular interactions to experimental delivery performance and ...

A study of stomatal patterns in Plantago lanceolata L. Acer pseudoplatanus L. Sesleria caerulea L. in relation to environmental parameters [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
A baseline study of leaf stomatal density, stomatal indices, guard cell length and leaf area was made in three species; a grass, Sesleria caerulea L., a herb, Plantago lanceolata L., and a tree, Acer pseudoplatanus L.
