EFFECT OF DRIP IRRIGATION AND NITROGEN FERTILIZATION ON: 11- THE LEAF WATER STATUS, BIOCHEMICAL ASPECTS AND MINERAL CONTENTS OF "ANNA" APPLE TREES GROWN IN NEW RECLAIMED SOILS [PDF]
The present investigation was carried out in 1997 , 1998 , 1999 seasons on 5-years old "Anna" apple trees budded on MM. 106 rootstock and grown in a loamy sand soil at Desert Development Center (DOC) of the American University in Cairo (AUC) Sadat ...

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Effect of Drought Stress on Some Physiological Traits of Durum (Triticum durum Desf.) and Bread (Triticum aestivum L.) Wheat Genotypes [PDF]
Drought is a wide-spread problem seriously influencing wheat production and quality worldwide. We aimed to study adaptive changes in physiological parameters of 6 durum and 7 bread wheat genotypes under drought stress.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Hormonal Activity in Detached Lettuce Leaves as Affected by Leaf Water Content [PDF]
The interrelationship between water deficiency and hormonal makeup in plants was investigated in detached leaves of romaine lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. cv. ;Hazera Yellow'). Water stress was imposed by desiccating the leaves for several hours in light or darkness at different air temperatures and relative humidity.
