Minimum permissible leakage resistance established for instrumentation systems [PDF]
Mathematical formulas are used to determine if, and to what extent, an instrumentation system that has been exposed to the elements should be dried out to restore minimum permissible leakage resistance to ground. Formulas are also derived and used for an

Charge transport in purple membrane monolayers: A sequential tunneling approach
Current voltage (I-V) characteristics in proteins can be sensitive to conformational change induced by an external stimulus (photon, odour, etc.). This sensitivity can be used in medical and industrial applications besides shedding new light in the ...

Surface Leakage Resistance of Glasses
Glass rods for lamp and tube of about 4mm in diameter were provided with two electrodes at the distance of 30-40mm, and the apparent resistance, which is equivalent to the combination of volume and surface resistance connected pararell, were measured by the method of filament electrometer or direct deflection. In the first series of the experiment the ...

Leakage Resistance Envelopes of API 8 Round Casing Connections using FE Analysis [PDF]
Abstract Leakage resistance of casing connections can be evaluated by extremely expensive testing procedures. Although testing is required for connection validation, significant amount of resources can be saved by complementing testing with Finite Element (FE) analysis. In this regard, a broadly accepted criterion to characterize leaks in FE simulation

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
