Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.

Leakage diffusion law of hydrogen-mixed natural gas pipeline and layout plan of detectors

open access: yesYou-qi chuyun, 2022
In order to study the change of gas leakage behavior caused by hydrogen mixing and rapidly realize the leakage detection of hydrogen-mixed gas, a plane leakage model for specific semi-closed places was established with the Fluent software, and thereby ...

PATTERN FORMATION IN REACTION-DIFFUSION NEURAL NETWORKS WITH LEAKAGE DELAY

open access: yesJournal of Applied Analysis & Computation, 2019
Summary: Due to the heterogeneity of the electromagnetic field in neural networks, the diffusion phenomenon of electrons exists inevitably. In this paper, we investigate pattern formation in a reaction-diffusion neural network with leakage delay.

Epilepsy‐Associated Variants of a Single SCN1A Codon Exhibit Divergent Functional Properties

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Pathogenic variants in SCN1A, which encodes the voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.1, are associated with multiple epilepsy syndromes exhibiting a range of clinical severity. SCN1A variants are reported in different syndromes, including Dravet syndrome, which is associated with loss‐of‐function, whereas neonatal/infantile‐onset ...

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Research on Hydrogen Leakage Risk Control Methods in Deck Compartments of Hydrogen Fuel Cell-Powered Ships Based on CFD Simulation and Ventilation Optimization

open access: yesFire
Hydrogen fuel cell vessels represent a vital direction for green shipping, but the risk of large-scale hydrogen leakage and diffusion in their enclosed compartments is particularly prominent. To enhance safety, a simplified three-dimensional model of the
