Analysis of the leakage inductance of planar transformer
2009 9th International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments, 2009In this paper, the leakage inductance of planar transformer is analyzed. The physical structure of the planar transformer discussed in this paper is introduced at first. Then the leakage magnetic field in the planar transformer is analyzed and the calculation formula of the leakage inductance is deduced.

Sensitivity of Leakage Inductance for Detecting Winding Movements in Transformers
IECON 2018 - 44th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2018Leakage inductance of transformer windings is widely used as a health indicator especially for detecting winding anomalies. This test is also routinely carried out before and after short-circuit withstand test which is a part of factory acceptance test. Change in leakage inductance can possibly reveal damages in the winding assembly.

Estimation of the leakage and magnetizing inductances of Induction Motors
2009In addition to the IEEE standard test procedure for induction motors (IM), several advanced methods have been presented to achieve higher accuracy on parameters estimation. Some of them allow to estimate with high precision only a specific parameter, while others improve the parameters estimation at the price of high computational efforts and time due ...

A Novel Approach to Calculate Squirrel Cage Induction Motor Rotor Leakage Inductance
2006 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2006The end ring leakage inductance of an induction machine is computed either by using an empirical formula or by using very complicated mathematical techniques. In this paper, an alternate method to compute this inductance using Winding Function Approach (WFA) and three dimensional Finite Element (3DFE) using Maxwell is described. The method is deemed to

Rotary transformer design with fixed magnetizing and/or leakage inductances
1985 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1985A design algorithm is considered for transformers that must transfer electric power across a rotating interface. Among other features, this procedure allows the designer to minimize either weight or losses for either a fixed magnetizing inductance or a fixed leakage inductance.

Computation of winding ends leakage inductance
1997 IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference Record, 2002A new half-analytical method is presented for the accurate calculation of the winding ends leakage inductance in rotating electrical machines with wound armatures, based on the integration of Maxwell's magnetic equations in the free space, magnetic images and surface distributions for modelling the effect of the slots and of the air gap.

MATLAB simulation of induction machine with saturable leakage and magnetizing inductances
Botswana Journal of Technology, 2005At high stator phase currents, the effect of saturation of the stator and rotor leakage inductances becomes noticeable to the extent that the conventional machine model fails to represent the dynamic performances of induction machine. In this paper, a commercial software package, MATLAB is used to simulate the dynamic behaviour of induction machine ...
