Horn Image-Guide Leaky-Wave Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1981
A novel approach for designing a frequency-scanning millimeter-wave antenna is described. The antenna is constructed by using an image wide leaky-wave antenna embedded in a long trough with metal flares along both sides. The optimum flare angle for achieving maximum gain is theoretically predicted.

Wide-Angle Scanning Leaky-Wave Antenna Array Based on Double-Layer Double-Row Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2023
A wide-angle scanning leaky-wave antenna based on double-layer double-row (DLDR) spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) is presented. The designed periodic SSPP with double-layer glide-symmetry can convert slow-wave mode into fast-wave to realize dual ...

A Low-Cost, Quad-Beam, Dual-Polarized, 2-D Leaky Wave Antenna With Wide-Angle Beam Scanning for Millimeter-Wave Applications

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2023
A novel low-cost, dual-polarized, 2-D leaky wave antenna (LWA) with four beams is proposed in this article. The proposed 2-D LWA includes a 2-D leaky wave radiation aperture and an orthogonal feeding network.

Dual-Polarized SIW Leaky-Wave Antenna Based on Mode-Multiplexed Feeding Structure

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2023
This letter presents a novel dual-polarized leaky-wave antenna (LWA) based on mode-multiplexed feeding structure (FS). Substrate integrated waveguide with groove arrays is exploited to achieve mode-multiplexed FS and two working modes are excited at the ...

A Leaky Wave Antenna With Capability of Fixed-Frequency Beamforming Scanning

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2023
A novel electrically controlled leaky wave antenna (LWA) with the capability of fixed-frequency beamforming scanning is proposed in this communication. The antenna is designed on a substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW), and the slot period of the antenna ...

An SSPP Leaky-Wave Antenna With Circular Polarization Based on the Anisotropic Holographic Technique

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2023
Based on the holographic technique, a design method for circular polarized spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) leaky-wave antennas is presented. For the first time, anisotropic unit cells were employed to reach circular polarization in the SSPP leaky ...

Design of Leaky-Wave Antenna With Wide-Angle Backfire-to-Forward Beam Scanning Based on Generalized Pattern Synthesis

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2023
Frequency-scanning antenna has been extensively explored in radar and vehicle communication systems, but it is a challenge to provide methodological guidance to achieve a wide scanning angle. Here, a generalized pattern synthesis method is proposed and a
