Optimization of 1-D Unidirectional Leaky-Wave Antennas Based on Partially Reflecting Surfaces
In a previous work, we derived optimum conditions for the design of finite-size one-dimensional (1-D) unidirectional leaky-wave antennas (LWAs) in the general case.

Mobile THz communications using photonic assisted beam steering leaky-wave antennas.
THz communications is envisaged for wide bandwidth mobile communications eventually reaching data capacities exceeding 100 Gbit/s. The technology enabling compact chip-integrated transceivers with highly directive, steerable antennas is the key challenge

This article proposes a periodic leaky-wave antenna that is based on a microstrip-fed periodically modulated transverse-slot array in the ground plane. The profile of the transverse-slot array is periodically modulated to introduce a fast space harmonic (

Fabry-Perot Cavity Leaky Wave Antennas with Tunable Features for Terahertz Applications
Terahertz (THz) radiation is a very appealing band of the electromagnetic spectrum due to its practical applications. In this context, the THz generation and manipulation is an essential part of the technological development.

Analysis and Design of Tunable THz 1-D Leaky-Wave Antennas Based on Nematic Liquid Crystals
The tunable properties of nematic liquid crystals (NLC) are here exploited in a peculiar leaky waveguide with artificial magnetic conductors as the lateral walls, a bottom metal ground plane, and a homogenized metasurface on top to obtain dynamic ...

Analysis and Design of Checkerboard Leaky-Wave Antennas With Low Radar Cross Section
This paper addresses the analysis and design of a new class of metasurface leaky-wave antennas (LWAs) that inherently have low monostatic radar cross section (RCS) for normal incidence parallel polarization.

Gap Waveguide Leaky-Wave Antenna
A novel leaky wave antenna, realized using gap waveguide concept, is here proposed. Both, the feeding structure and the antenna are realized in groove gap waveguide technology, thus simplifying the whole structure. A complete design procedure, starting from a given groove waveguide to the final radiation mechanism, is described in this paper.
