Printed Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

A novel leaky wave antenna for hyperthermia

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we introduce a novel substrate integrated waveguide leaky wave antenna for a non-invasive hyperthermia of body tissues that can be a solution for eliminating cancerous tissues in human body. We exploited the interesting property of a leaky

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

High Scanning Rate Leaky Wave Antenna Based on Glide Symmetry for 77 GHz Automotive Radar

open access: yes, 2020
This work presents a leaky wave antenna at W band with glide-symmetric protrusions that enhance the scanning ratio of previous works. Also, a conventional leaky wave antenna is designed for comparing the results in terms of required bandwidth and ...

Gas spreading detection by means of a terahertz leaky-wave antenna

open access: yes, 2022
A spectroscopy system for gas detection based on a terahertz (THz) parallel-plate waveguide leaky-wave antenna is presented. Compared to conventional THz spectroscopy systems, we exploit the intrinsic dispersive behavior of a leaky-wave antenna to detect

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward

InP-Based THz Beam Steering Leaky-Wave Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology, 2021
For mobile THz applications, integrated beam steering THz transmitters are essential. Beam steering approaches using leaky-wave antennas (LWAs) are attractive in that regard since they do not require complex feeding control circuits and beam steering is ...
