Application of Huygens’ Metasurfaces to the Arbitrary Design of a Leaky-Wave Antenna [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Leaky-wave antennas are guiding structures that leak power along their length. Their radiation is mainly characterized by the propagation constant (leakage factor and phase constant) of the traveling wave.

Exotic leaky wave radiation from anisotropic epsilon near zero metamaterials

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate the emission of electromagnetic waves from biaxial subwavelength metamaterials. For tunable anisotropic structures that exhibit a vanishing dielectric response along a given axis, we find remarkable variation in the launch angles of energy

In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

A Planar Version of A Slotline Leaky Wave Antenna with a Stacked Substrate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents a new version of a leaky wave antenna based on a conductor-backed slotline with a stacked substrate. The advantage of this new structure is its flat top surface, due to the antenna being fed from the rear side via an SMA connector ...
