Resonance analysis of the leaky-wave antenna
2014 International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation Conference Proceedings, 2014The resonance analysis of the leaky-wave antenna with the microstrip feeding has been presented in this paper. Owing to an open-end structure of the leaky-wave antenna, we analyze the antenna by using the cavity-mode technique. Two conventional leaky-wave antennas with two different lengths, defined by the short and long cases, are shown to examine ...

In this paper, a trough leaky-wave antenna is considered that was inspired by the half-width microstrip leaky-wave. The TLW antenna is naturally suitable for flush-mount installation in a metallic body such as an automobile. The radiation characteristics will be investigated in more detail such as the design of the matching cavities and their effect on

In an elastically isotropic semiinfinite medium having a free surface with a weak harmonic corrugation, the interaction between the Rayleigh wave guided along the free surface and the shear vertical and pressure bulk elastic waves propagating in the substrate is investigated for the propagation directions lying in a plane perpendicular to the average ...

Stepped leaky-wave antennas for microwave and millimeter wave applications
Annales Des Télécommunications, 1997This work presents the complete general features of a recently proposed class of leaky-wave antennas, derived from stepped rectangular-section waveguides with radiating slits. Based on very favorable topological features, straightforward but extremely effective design procedures are shown to be possible for achieving sophisticated radiation properties.

Localization of leaky guided waves
Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1989A general transfer matrix approach for the propagation of guided waves in presence of inhomogeneities or “scatterers” is presented. It particularly addresses the problem of the coupling with radiation modes leading to a leakage of the guided wave to the surrounding bulk medium at each scattering.

Full wave analysis of leaky-wave antennas
2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008Leakage from slotted waveguides is a well-known phenomenon and has been thoroughly investigated during the past decades. The interest in leaky-wave antennas mainly stems from the possibility of scanning the beam with frequency [1]. The analysis of slotted waveguides has been first performed by means of a transverse network representation of the open ...

Graphene terahertz leaky-wave antennas
2019In this chapter, we focus on the recent developments made in the context of graphene THz antennas, especially those exploiting the graphene field effect to reconfigure their radiating features. To this purpose, we first review the electronic properties of graphene in the THz range from both a physical and an engineering perspective.

Dirac leaky-wave antennas (DLWAs) are derived from photonic crystals exhibiting Dirac cone dispersion around their $\Gamma$-point. DLWAs provide high directive beams and continuous frequency beam scanning, non-fluctuating leakage constant and real non-zero Bloch impedance at and around broadside, due to the closed and linear Dirac dispersion relation ...
