Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Representation of the continuous spectrum excited by a dipole in a multilayer configuration through weighted cylindrical leaky waves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this work, an original closed-form approximate evaluation is performed for the continuous-spectrum field excited by a dipole source in substrate-superstrate configurations, often employed in planar antennas and integrated passive components.

Leaky Surface Plasmon Polariton Modes at an Interface Between Metal and Uniaxially Anisotropic Materials

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2013
By solving analytically derived characteristic equations, leaky surface waves are found to exist at an interface between a metal material and a uniaxially anisotropic dielectric material with its optic axis falling in the plane of the interface. Both the

Printed Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

Radiation and propagation of cylindrical leaky waves on a planar dielectric multi-layer structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Radiation formulas for cylindrical leaky waves on a planar surface are derived. This is an extension of previous work by Tamir and Oliner for one-dimensional leaky waves derived in 1963. These formulas allow for the calculation of radiation patterns from

Leaky wave characterisation using spectral methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Leaky waves are an important class of waves, particularly for guiding waves along structures embedded within another medium; a mismatch in wavespeeds often leads to leakage of energy from the waveguide, or interface, into the medium, which consequently ...

Gap Waveguide Leaky-Wave Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2016
A novel leaky wave antenna, realized using gap waveguide concept, is here proposed. Both, the feeding structure and the antenna are realized in groove gap waveguide technology, thus simplifying the whole structure. A complete design procedure, starting from a given groove waveguide to the final radiation mechanism, is described in this paper.
