Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Learner vs. professional translations into Russian: Lexical profiles

open access: yesTranslation and Interpreting : the International Journal of Translation and Interpreting Research, 2018
One of the relatively recent trends in learner corpora research is building and exploiting learner translator corpora. Within corpus-based translation studies (CTS) translations are approached as a special variety of the target language. They are usually

Construction of a Learner Corpus for Japanese Language Learners: Natane and Nutmeg

open access: yesActa Linguistica Asiatica, 2014
Japanese language learners aim to acquire reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. We at the Hinoki project (https://hinoki-project.org/) have recently been working on the Natsume collocation search system (https://hinoki-project.org/natsume/), the Natane learner corpus to support Natsume (https://hinoki-project.org/natane/) and the Nutmeg ...

APPRAISAL resources in L1 and L2 argumentative essays: A contrastive learner corpus-informed study of evaluative stance

open access: yesJournal of Corpora and Discourse Studies, 2018
Martin and White’s (2005) APPRAISAL theory explores the ways interpersonal meanings are expressed when researching evaluative aspects of language use. Despite numerous discourse analyses using APPRAISAL, there is a lack of corpus-based research comparing

The development of cohesion in a learner corpus

open access: yesStudies in Second Language Learning and Teaching, 2013
This study examines the use of cohesive devices (pragmatic markers and conjunctions) in a 24,000-word corpus of transcribed oral data from 47 learners and native speakers of English. Both of these cohesive devices increase with proficiency level, but not
